in reading one of the many articles it said Siena always played a pretty tough non conference schedule. so with are new coach do you think that we can get some better non conference opponents (midwestern or national) to come to Carver?

What else do you want mwa? Iowa played, Drake, UNI, Wichita State, Texas and Iowa State last season...now granted 2 of those were in a tournament setting...but still, why would want to overload your schedule?

Completely different situation at Iowa as opposed to Siena. Siena has to play the tough non-conference schedule to make up for the weak conference schedule. Iowa does not have to do this...

i think maybe we should take a page from Izzo and play a couple extra good teams every year- even when we lose it can do nothing but help prepare the team for the Big Ten schedule and beyond

prolly best to wait a year or 2 tho before going that route but still i love that philosophy and it definately has worked for Sparty thru the years
