No starting QB Named yet?

Clemson and Rutgers just named starters yesterday, and Miami just named their starter this morning.

Tis the season... If KF is naming Iowa's this Friday when they release the depth chart then they already know this morning too. I don't think there's a coin flip that'll happen. They have to pretty much know.

As long as there's a starter in place by game week to ensure a full week of opponent prep, I'm good with them continuing to look all the way until this weekend.

I heard it's so close, they have them hopping on one leg and throwing with their off hand to see who is better there. Wow...that's close. Stanley is the starter...if he got the nod as a freshman...forcing him to compete only makes him a better competitor and creates practices that make him feel pressure. That's my two cents.

They'll name a starter - it's not at all odd or a bad sign that they haven't yet. And - I love how posters like to make this seem like it's a Kirk thing. That he has a hard time picking the right guy - when it happens to nearly every coaching staff several times through their careers. Evaluating the best QB in CFB can often be pretty difficult because there's typically not a ton of separation that can be determined in non live drills and CFB has no pre-season. Also - in most cases - the difference between 1 and 2 often aren't glaring.

Sam Darnold at USC - he lost out to a couple of guys before winning the starting roll.

And KF has referred to 1987 numerous times, with Hartlieb effectively starting the season in "third place" before winning the job outright.

Plus Stanley looks better handing the ball off. You really do need to get granular with this competition. And yes, I think it'll be Stanley.

Here we are again without the starting QB named less than two week before kickoff. Seems to be the norm for KF. Doesn't want to man up and hurt someones feelings. Ridiculous!!!

For all Kirk's faults, being too touchy-feely isn't one of them. Maybe it's just that Wiegers has practiced almost as well as Stanley.
