No pride, no nothing. So sad to see a bunch of talented kids pack it in. This is a season they will regret their entire lives.

Up until this point I thought we were just having one of those years when the injuries come at the wrong time and wrong place, the big plays just don't go your way, and the football gods seem to be against you.

No more. This was ugly and there's no excuse for it. Offense, defense, special teams and coaching, look in the mirror.
 
DJK looked like just about the only guy that showed up to play today. Played with fire, made the plays when he had the opportunities to do so.
 
a good year and a great year tainted in their memories forever - it doesn't matter how you try to put in in perspective - what this team and coaching staff allowed to happen this season is worse then going 0-12. Having this good a team and just losing game after game in the 4th quarter and then having the gall to pretend someone is accountable and Ferentz will give the evil eye and jump in his bunker.

Said the same thing when that happened- it's amazing to me that the only fire that appears to be evident outside that DJK psudo blowup was that KF yelled at DJk.

I've always loved Iowa football because of their work ethic and physical play. Team had no effort or heart out their today. What a pathetic display.
 
+10...this was not on the coaches. Horrible tackling. Stanzi miss how many open guys and when he gets locked in on a guy, that's where its goin no matter what.

He got yelled at because we couldn't afford the penalty or having DJK booted from the game.
You can play with heart and fire but you need to be careful also.

Not proud of this team at all.

DJK, you are not included in this. Only one that showed heart today.

Iowa teams have always played hard and showed heart. Even bad teams showed that and we still pulled for them. This team has not shown that.

Need more wrestling.
 
Good post. I became an Iowa fan just because of the heart and work ethic. I was in school 1998-2000, three losing teams, and I respect those teams more than this one. The only thing hawkeye about these guys is the uniform.
 
I think that is one of the hardest pills to swallow. We have a lot of seniors on this team and a lot of seniors in key positions. There was no fire on the sidelines and no fire on the field. With the exception of DJK, everyone appeared to be going through the motions. Losing because of a lack of talent is one thing. Losing because you underperformed or quit is an entirely different animal. I don't want to be too harsh on a group of 18-22 yeard olds but just frustrating to see this team go from almost beating Wisky and then manhandling MSU .... to lose at lowly Minnesota.

If your comment was looking at that incident in isolation, then I would agree with you. However, KF's treatment of DJK over 4 years gives DJK the benefit of the doubt. DJK has cared more about winning then anyone else in our program.

Iowa has no idea how good they've had it. Now that there are Divisions and a Title Game, U of I can kiss their BCS Bowl Game Dreams Good-Bye. Gotta beat Wisconsin, Michigan, and Nebraska in 2011 and then IF and ONLY IF you get that done you get to face Ohio State for a shot at a BCS. Games Over Hawk Fans. Looking forward to 2011 actually- and we don't play Wisconsin unless it's for the B10 Championship. You stay classy San Diego- or whatever loser team you cheer for week to week that forces you to fair weather fan another team by the end of September every year. Go Hawks buddy.

Hillarious we're getting football lessons from an ISU fan that's funny. To be perfectly honest as beat down as I feel right now after this loss, I can honestly say one of the things that keeps me proud is the fact that we've still got a better program in place then ISU does. And what makes the post even better is that this team that fell apart midseason absolutely dismantled ISU earlier in the year, which IMO makes this poster look even dumber and makes ISU look even worse.

Is this HerkyKiller from CF? You're a ******* disgrace to the ISU fanbase. We didn't go to a bowl. Why are you rubbing a 7-5 record in the face of a team that blasted us? I giggled at the final outcome, but I'd still rather have Iowa's record than ours.

You could learn some humility.
