At 17-16, Iowa has the worst record in the field. One of only 7 teams without 20+ wins. Gotta think the wins against top 25 teams pushed them over the hump. Pretty strong field. Congrats to the Hawkeyes and happy for Gatens.

Looking at the draw it is pretty clear that the seeds (outside of the top line) are much more determined by getting games at good venues and minimizing travel than about the relative merit of teams.
