Nine Months of Anticipation For This Shit!

Boy, this sucks. Ya wait 9 months for football to start anticipating a good team with a 5th year senior and a line with one year of experience under them. Then, after two games have to admit this season is absolutely going to suck. The offense is 132 out of 132 FBS teams in offense. 132! No freaking BIG 10 team should be dead last in offense in FBS. Worse than last year. The second to last team right above Iowa has 70 more yards than Iowa. SEMU put up 320 yards on Iowa St!

Remember after kid's day hearing the offense couldn't move the ball at all against the defense? Some said don't worry about and some stated hopefully the results are the case of the offense going against our top defense. Well, it's all come to fruition! It is what it is, and that is a tough pill to swallow.

If you are dead last and not moving the ball, why are you not changing QB's? Why? What do you have to lose? They only way you can go is up. Even if it is a push with either Padilla or Labas, you can't get any worse. Why not try it?

You know what they call it when one repeatedly tries to do something with the same negative result, then try again with the same outcome. INSANITY!

I was in the camp of trusting our staff until a loss. Unfortunately, it takes a loss a lot of times for me to recognize it and I suppose that's the case with the staff as well. It shouldn't take that. Iowa had no business losing that game on Saturday and everyone on the staff and in the stands knows it. I expect a change at QB.

I'm surprised people didn't see this coming. We have seen KF skirt around no RBs and supposedly not a punter. But the team typically found a way around those. Losing players through transfer and not willing to replace with similar or better talent than what is on the team.

Did not what happened after the OSU rout raise any eyebrows? BFs meltdown in the press box?

Are some of you completely unaware of cultural change (some for the better and some not)? Have you not heard of Gentle Parenting? Do you not know how many of those kids end up on youth travel teams and little guy football where mom and dad can still pay their way to success?

A few of you who have young adult kids know what I'm talking about. Even if you didn't raise your kids that way, you have seen the impact on your own family on how that has impacted your kids and your kids significant others.

This isn't about KFs age. Every coach has to change according to situations on the practice field, the field and on the recruiting trail. Have you not noticed the drop off in attendance and viewing has come from the younger populations?

KF rarely changes until he absolutely must. This time it's likely too late unless he wants to deal with the implications of firing Brian. However, part of the equation he can never walk back. This situation likely has impacted his family forever.

The greatest change we'll see are shifting of the two deep roster. Nobody is getting fired. Maybe they'll conclude the consulting services of that QB coach. Maybe Reese Morgan gets more involved again with the OLine. Maybe they reevaluate the OL Coach... but we won't see anything publicly at least until winter time.

I think we all realize it's not going happen in season. Hasn't Reese Morgan been retired for like years? Are you saying to bring him out of retirement?

I say that because I remember reading or hearing that he's still around the football team a lot. Maybe he just needs to stay out of his wife's hair and has nothing better to do.
