Nightmare scenario developing for Arkansas AD

My guess is the majority of people are ambivalent...whether he stays or is let go, most won't feel strongly one way or the other....the more passionate edges of a fan base are most always small in number. Those are the people who call radio shows, who post on message boards, etc. They typically are not the major donors.

Another proof that most fans are stupid.

After the PSU/Sandusky/JoePa fiasco nothing really surprises me anymore.

Not saying that what Bobby to his employer isn't grounds to be let go and that some fans wouldn't be smart enough to see that.

That said it isn't even in the same galaxy as the PSU fans that still to this day support JoePa and to a lesser extent Sandusky after what went down up in "Happy" Valley the last several decades.

They have a potential problem on their hands if they fire him when they let Petino stay after his ordeal.

I was on the Arkansas Scout message board last week and it was 99-1 for Petrino to keep his job. Even though it's the Bible Belt, a winning football coach trumps 'family values,' go figure. But this is the SEC we're talking.

As Deace would say,In the SEC...'if you ain't cheatin', you ain't tryin'...even if it's on your wife.

Talked to a big time LSU donor at the Masters last week for awhile. Very interesting. He cant stand Les Miles, but he said he helps recruit for him. LOL. Talked about when Dinardo was at LSU for a while and he said he helped him bring a bunch of kids to LSU. He said "drugs, money and women is all you need to bring in an 18 year black kid with a hard on" Said its a way of life in the SEC. Theyre all as dirty as you can get.

Arkansas AD knew what he was hiring when he hired Petrino. Petrino posted a letter in the Atlanta Falcons locker room announcing his resignation in order to fly to Arkansas and speak with the AD. Previously lied to people on his way out at Louisville.

You give the Hog fans too much credit. They can't feel emotions that go over 2 syllables.

As the old saying goes, "When you lie down with dogs, you get fleas!"

This is the same guy who met with Auburn officials practically under the cover of darkness to try to get a job that was still being held by his old boss and mentor while he was at Louisville.

This is the same guy that didn't have the balls to look his players in the eye while at Atlanta and tell them he was leaving for Arkansas.

Now some people are surprised that he didn't have the moral compass or basic understanding of how to be a MAN and be faithful to his wife or have the guts to tell his bosses the truth about what happened?

Please!

This is the easiest decision that the Arkansas AD could ever make. You cut this guy loose.....today. I'd rather be fired for making the RIGHT decision, than reap the rewards and backslaps for making a HORRIBLE decision. My conscience is worth more than any amount of money I could make to be pressured into making a HORRIBLE decision.

Ya, they should have expected this type of thing from Petrino.

Easy out...suspend him without pay for the first 2-3 non con games, make him go before the media and do some fake crying for the cameras with his wife standing by his side, then all will be forgotten. Beat LSU or Florida and he will get a raise and extension out of the deal.

football coaches sell kids on family and trust and being winners (those tend to be the main things) well petrino just cut two of those out of his bag of tricks because family and trust arent the highest to him.

Wow. I really didn't expect them to fire him. I figured the success he's had the past 2 seasons would be enough to get him through this. The SEC showing a moral compass...what is this?!

Well, the world is supposedly gonna end this year.
