Donatell played well. Yes, he got burned a couple times. Law is faster, but he's also more likely to put himself out of position (if his reputation is true).

Seriously, maybe Law just isn't ready. But nobody ever considers that possibility.

So let me get this straight. The anti-Nico crew is claiming the pro-Nico crew can't make judgements about Nico starting because we've not really seen him on the field, yet are saying he can't play because he'll get beat deep more often but they also haven't seen him on the field either? That's long been the buzz about Law. Not saying it's true or isn't. But if it IS true, then why would the coaches put him in there?

Players have also said they have to sometimes dial Nico back a little. Guys like that tend to play themselves out of position.

Again, I don't know. But it's hardly a huge leap of logic, and the coaches have a better grasp of it than any of us.

Jantz over threw 4 deep balls where the receiver was wide open... corners are bad and safeties are just as bad.

YOU ARE CORRECT, SIR! Donatell is in the same league as Miller and Morris, not much talent but works hard, so Kirk plays them to the detriment of the team.

Two of the three listed (Morris Donatell) had picks. Morris nearly two. The third you listed (Miller) nearly had a pick as well.

Keep thinking its to the detriment of the team.

And one of his examples, (Bernstine) was proven false and some others are based on assumptions. There are on the other side numerous examples of guys playing regardless of age or experience. Greenway, Hodge, Klug, Kroul, Dom Douglas, etc.

Its not true and is an idiotic attempt to aid those on the anti KF side to show another reason why he doesn't know what he's doing.

I don't doubt for one second that KF believed playing Christenson in the second half against Pitt gave the team the best chance to win. I question the thought process that caused him to reach that conclusion. Look, we just scored 6 points after forcing 4 turnovers against at best a decent defense. At this point, as someone who forked over money for season tix, pays the gas to drive to the game, contributes to the parking pass, buys the concessions, etc., I'm questioning everything.

hindsight is 20/20...talking about people that took over for others and were better is great but you can usually find just as many that go the other way. nico and alston and rudock could all be athletically better than their counterparts (only in law's case do i believe that) but they also could mentally be far behind their counterparts. athleticism isnt all there is to sports. matt cassel is a better athlete than tom brady but i didnt see the pats trade brady after cassel had 11 wins for them.

1) donatell - i believe he is deficient athletically for a safety and nico has that athleticism but with how much pressure is put on our safeties we need someone who fully understands the defense and maybe that is where he has the edge on nico. people remember sanders and his hits and want another hitter but sanders also could cover and was a very smart player maybe nico has the hitting and lacks other things.

2) morris - the guy was hyped up by the media when he was thrust into the limelight as a true frosh. no one wanted to put him in that spot. he did well and then everyone said he was the next greenway or something. greenway didnt have those expectations on him it is unfair. he gets put on an island a lot and does very well but if he makes 1 mistake because of the unreal expectations people go crazy. the limited time i have seen of alston he is laterally not as quick as morris and has problems against the pass.

3) jvb - is he stanzi or tate or whoever...no he is jvb. remember he is learning a new offense (something the other qbs didnt have to do during their careers). the passing offense has changed and if you think a rs frosh with no game reps will do better at it then i worry about your common sense (which isnt as common as they say). he lacks some threats. keenan seems to be a solid #2 but not a true #1. and i dont think shumpert has catch a ball cleanly yet. kmm looks good at times but he comes and goes and doesnt seem consistent. jvb seems to lack confidence in what his wrs are doing and that is the 2nd worst thing for a qb behind not having confidence in your line.
