NICO IS BACK

That is great news for Cade McNamara as well!!! Ra guh ee nee has caught 122 passes for almost 1400 yards in his Iowa career thus far!

McNamara now has Lachey, Ragaini and the new Michigan TE All as experienced targets. Can Vines take a big step? Brecht?

You can have Randy Moss, Cooper Kupp, Justin Jefferson....w/o a viable OL, it's a moot point.

It's funny. I remember last year Nico announcing he was coming back for 2022 and my reaction at the time was. .. yawn.

Of course, at the time I thought he was at best the 4th best WR on the team behind Jones, Bruce and Johnson.

Now he announces he is coming back for 2023 and my reaction is... Woo hoo!

The Iowa WR's desperately need a dependable veteran good for 20-30 catches a year that can set a good example for the younger kids.

But can he sing "Femme Fatale" as well as the other Nico?

Who cares? Anytime Brian wants to dial up the "Rags To Riches" play is fine by me.

Hawk Central media attended a brief open bowl practice today and submitted an article with ten “observations”. Good read. Facebook free.

I mean he's no savior or anything but I'm sure Cade will like to have a guy like him stick around. He's as reliable of a guy as we have. I'd much rather have him back then not just based on what else we have going on at the position.

He's a veteran of the program who can run routes, so there's that.

He can really help the young WRs it will help to have a guy who has been through the wars. Hopefully Cade throws passes a little closer to Nico than he's used to.

Well, ya have a very experienced WR in the system coming back and a TE coming in who the QB is very familiar and comfortable with. Not a bad situation or start, when trying to get this thing turned around. Comfort is a plus.
