Next Year's Roster

Below is the expected roster for next season. Set aside defense, guard play, etc. for the purposes of this thread and look strictly at scoring. How many points does everyone think each player will average next year. I know there are a lot of variables that factor into this but make a guess just for fun. I intend to bump this thread next March to see if anyone was even close.

Jok - 20
Jones - 8
Uhl - 12
Baer - 8
Wagner - 6
Ellingson - 1
Fleming - 1
Williams - 5
Moss - 7
Hutton - 2
Cook - 8
Bohannon - 6
Kriener - RS
Pemsl - RS

I think the 9 man rotation will be Jok, Jones, Uhl, Baer, Wagner, Williams, Moss, Cook and Bohannon. Ellingson and Fleming are stuck behind Jok (and Moss). Hutton needs another year to work on his offensive game...may get some minutes as a defensive specialist.

Jok - 18
Jones - 8
Uhl - 10
Baer - 8
Ellingson - 1
Fleming - 3
Williams- 8
Moss- 8
Hutton - 2
Cook - 6
Bohannon- 5

I really hope Moss is better. It's always good when someone is beter. Watching Fleming this year, it looks like he has a high ceiling. The guy seemed like he could get a shot off or create for a teammate any time he wanted. He was just a little off which made for too many mistakes to trust him. The ability looked like it was there tho.

I agree... I always told my dad I liked the way he looked even tho he didn't produce but still would rather have him played minutes over Ellingson because he wasn't really giving us anything either.

Bohannon with 44 tonight in sub state final loss. Kid is a great shooter. Hope it carries over to college.

Jok - 20
5th Year PG - 12
Jones - 8
Uhl - 12
Baer - 8
JUCO - 8
Wagner - 6
Williams - 5
Moss - 7
Hutton - 2
Cook - 8
Bohannon - 6
Kriener - RS
Pemsl - RS

What I like most is that this will be be a team filled with the types of players that Coach McCaffrey likes to have. They are versatile and athletic players. Lots of players between 6'5" and 6'9".

I am not so sure that both Kriener and Pemsl redshirt. Either one can contribute inside. Having another physical player can be a great asset.

In conclusion I think many people will underestimate this team. They may be young but they are talented. They will exceed expectations.

I think the most important thing next year is they should be FUN TO WATCH. They will struggle at times, turn the ball over a lot, and do a lot of stupid things, but there's a lot of athleticism there. Once these current seniors move on in a few weeks, a massive competition all spring/summer for playing time begins.

Think about it, 4 spots in the starting lineup are completely up for grabs. Sure, Uhl, Williams and Wagner have inside tracks at starting gigs, but I certainly don't think any of them are sure fire guarantees to start all 30 games next year. There will be tons of minutes going around and tons of young talent gunning for those minutes.
