Next Year?

I actually think the loss of Marble isn't as harmful as most. I think we will play more as a team, and other players will have to step up instead of just deferring to Marble. He's also not a big loss on the defensive end.

The offense of Marble has been argued enough but I actually 100% disagree with you I'm regards to his Defense.

He's our best man to man wing defender and averages something like 2 steals a game... (That's a guess).

What in the world makes you think we won't miss him defensively??

Given Fran's affinity for the zone any player with some length such as Uthoff can replace Marble. If we played primarily man to man defense then I agree we would miss him more. Marble is solid defensively but he's not a lockdown defender like May was.

Well if Uthoff plays more, he'll be at the 3 spot.

Jok and Ogelsby are the guys you should be looking at to fill Marbles spot and neither can play D at this point. I have more hope for Jok as he is only a freshman and I think his problem is more mental and learning the game and josh just lacks foot speed and that's not going to impove as much as potentially Jok can on the mental side of the game.
