Next good season?

I'm not giving up on this season yet.. but judging by the past we can expect another outstanding season in 2022. So weird that I wasn't even surprised or angry today. I knew this was coming.. I didn't know if it would be this game, but I knew we would lose to someone we shouldn't at home early.

Unless there is division realignment, there will always be a decent chance Iowa has a great record. They play 3 cupcakes in non conference and play in a very weak division and it's going to be hard for a coach to turn a west division program into one that average teams can't beat

While what you say is true - how many seasons has our schedule "looked favorable" and we have failed to take advantage. Way too many times - so hard for me to see the pattern changing much.

Our qb has to be in their first full year as a starter to be really good so next year.

well judging by the pattern, KF has a good year then 5 or 6 years of mediocrity before pulling out a top 10 season. We're in year one of medocrity. I'd say or 2021 or 2022 Iowa will be right up there again

2018? And then 7-5 in 2019.

Man you guys have said it. I can think of just three multi year starters that played senior year QB..Tate 6-6, Stanzi 7-5, Vandenberg 4-8.. I was thinking 7-5 before the year began..the first two games lulled me into a false confidence.. Today snapped me back to reality..
