New starting lineup

Right now I'm pretty confident that this Fran guy knows a thing or two about coaching and I'm willing to go with his opinion. I look forward to the progress this team will show next year and the year after. I love to Monday morning coach as much as the next guy, but I'm very happy with the buttons Fran is pushing.

I can't figure out why Stoermer can't get on the floor, especially in the last 2-3 minutes of the first half. Limit the number of possessions by running some clock; run a set to look for Basabe, Cole, Brommer, then quick ball reversal or kick out to Stoermer and let him pop and others can crash the boards. From what I saw in the PTL, he has range, a quick release and isn't going to embarass himself defensively in short spurts. He played a fair amount in the non conference and did a decent job IMO.

Very true. Starting lineups are overrated anyway. But I would like to see Marble getting more minutes. The sky is the limit with that kid.

It appears that he is still growing. He looks taller now than he did at the beginning of the season. He has a lot of wing span. He will be very good on both ends of the court.

I like the idea of Marble starting and May coming off the bench for both players and the team. With Marble starting, it enables the team to get going offensively sooner. May can observe and come in off the bench with a better game plan defensively. Also, May and Gatens' games are similar enough that it might be beneficial to both to try and get some minutes when they aren't in the game together. All of this leads to more offensive continuity as well.

I like the idea of Marble starting too. It limits the time that May is on the floor and gives us another offensive weapon without giving up anything on D.
