Wow. I'm pleasantly surprised that the athletic department realizes the basketball program needs more than just a new coach. Seems like they're on the right path to getting fans interested again. It's a good start, anyway.

He is doing a great job of marketing the basketball program. Less than a week on the job and he has created a wealth of interest in Iowa Basketball. I can't remember the last time I felt this good about it.

Cool website, good marketing idea. The intro video was good but the one that explains "let's be mad again" is pretty corny. The rest outweighs that but that one did kinda stand out to me

It's probably swamped with traffic due to all the recent interest in Iowa hoops.

As you know, every marketing tool isn't designed to appeal to everyone. It is the break from the norm that has people excited/engaged. A little easier to believe in a program when it appears to believe in itself.

This is beyond all of my expectations, and my expectations were very high. I am not sure I have been this excited about Iowa basketball since the Marble/Armstrong/Horton years. I was so wrong about this guy. Even if the improvement does not show up at first on the court, the improvement is already through the roof on effort.

I think I may just get season tickets for the first time ever.

I agree. I was expecting MAD to expand out to more than Make the Big Dance. You know, like a plan to get there?

I would like the site better if they just put up a bunch of video from the glory years. Give me 15 minutes of highlight video of Marble, Gamble, BJ, Acie, Lohaus, Street, Woolridge, etc.

Yeah, instead let's just stick with the norm of making no attempt to reach out to fans or promote the basketball program ... Good call ... this was such a wasted effort and such a poor job of marketing ...
