Very good recruiter............no head coaching experience. Wouldn't cross him off the list though.

College is all about the Jimmys and Joes, and some of the Xs and Os. If Diacco can do that, and it looks like he can coach a decent defense, then he can always get some good coordinators. As far as no head coaching experience. FINE by me. Bobby Stoops didn't, neither did Snyder before heading to K-state. It's about the person more than where they have been IMO.

we could hope for a bad enough season that he just gives up and throws in the towel and resigns but who does Iowa go replace him with. We all want a Marquee coach but we all know that will never happen. Might as well get used to being average at best. If youre all Cubs fans this should be easy for you. "there's always next year"
