New gameday parking spot

We have a spot this year with Paradise Parking. Looks like it is fairly close to Kinnick, but other than that, I don't know much about it. What is the scene like? Anybody know the pros and cons of this place?

Also, we only have one spot, so it makes it a little bit of an issue with our normal group, which generally comes with multiple vehicles. Any suggestions for best place to drop a car and meet up at our spot?

I'm basically trying to determine if the pros of having this spot are worth the logistical issues it could cause our group. We normally park at Finkbine Commuter or Hancher.

Never parked there but knew some people that did. Heard it's kind of a pain getting in and out of. Not sure if there are other entrances but the one I know of off of Melrose gets backed up a lot. The lot itself is actually a wooded area dirt lot. So if it's wet out it gets kind of muddy. Otherwise its extremely close to the stadium and since it's privately owned you don't need to worry about the IC gestapo getting all up in your biz.

It isn't dirt, it is grass. It is the perfect location for tailgating. Get there earlyish if possible. Great vibe, but it does get crowded with "walk-ins".

I see them wander in there and hassel people all the time.

Thanks for the insight. It does seem dumb that the cops can patrol a private lot, but I suppose the owners just let them...probably helps them with crowd control. Guess we'll see how it goes. As far as joining up with our group, the only option I can think of right now is to have our friends that aren't riding with us park at Hancher and hoof it up to the stadium...not that far I guess. Anyone know of any other free lot options that might be closer to the South side of Kinnick?

Not south, but Art Building parking lot is free.

Street park South of Benton and walk from there.
