Nebraska....

Just saw that McCaffrey, Warner and Farniok are all transfering out along with that stud WR that announced awhile ago that he was... That sort of attrition isn't supposed to be happening going into year 4 of a program is it?.... Good news is with the those WRs leaving it's more reps for Oliver Martin to get there...HA Not that Martinez can get it to him down the field anyway

Didn't expect to see McCaffrey's name enter the portal. That said good to see that those inside the program are starting to see what the rest of see and doing anything possible to escape Frost and that dumpster fire of a program. Can't say I blame any of them. I guess at this point I'm surprised that there aren't more names on that list.

Yeah and for these 3 to announce all at the same time has me scratching my head wondering to what extent was it coordinated? That's one fractured locker room. And offense to be more specific. Not exactly what those Husker fans were expecting to get when bringing in the hometown boy to be the savior and all..

Maybe were looking into it too much. Maybe they all just wanted to play in a meaningful bowl game at some point in their collegiate careers or even possibly want to play on Sundays.

We didn't need them anyway. We've got Scott Frost, who was a QB for us a long time ago, which means he's great. Much better than those wannabes.

Seriously, though, they've been whining on their message boards about not wanting Martinez or McCaffrey anymore and want someone that can pass. I can't say I blame them. They also want some real receivers and not some walk-on that no one wanted and is playing D1 just because his daddy is in the NFL HOF. They're stupid, but that's what they've been saying since October.

Yeah, this is not a good look for SF over on this side of the river, the natives are restless. Anyone wanna play for Nebraska on offense next season?

Basically, the reaction on the Husker board seems to be meh. Which is surprising, ‘cause I thought Luke was one of their bigger talents. But maybe he wants to be a QB.

I had read that McCaffrey was going to stay at QB. He must have come to the conclusion that it wasn't going to work out there under Frost.

Also, I thought Farniok was declaring for the draft? I guess not.

And McCaffery's brother at Michigan entered the portal too. Maybe we can get them both to come here, switch to basketball, pull Fran out of retirement, and have 5 McCaffreys on the floor at once.

McCaffery passes to McCaffery who puts up a shot. Rebound McCaffery who flips it out to McCaffery for the 3-pointer!

When Ed McCaffery and Kurt Warner's boy leave your program after 3 years in Lincoln on the same day, it's news. Nebraska fan is all like "didn't need them". ....sure, but ya didn't NEED this.
Exactly... Warners boy was a walk on initially I think he got a scholly after he'd been listed as a captain. But yeah no program would want that. This is the year they all needed to make a leap.

It's going into year 4 and this is where they are.... Yikes. Clock is ticking Scottie

I can't believe Martinez hasn't hit the portal either. Frost did him dirty with the way he handled the McCaffrey joint duty crap. Martinez is a good QB...and can do a ton of things. He was really good as a freshman because they had a ton of talent at WR...everyone blames him for the drop off...but the talent is no where near what it was when he first got there.

I'm sorry, McCaffrey is a good running QB. However, Iowa would beat them 99 out of 100 times with him at the QB. Phil would make him stay in the pocket and throw the ball downfield...press coverage everywhere. McCaffrey, at this stage couldn't win a game like that.

I've never been one to think that Frostbite is on the hot seat because he's the golden child and he'll get a longer leash than anyone else would.

But 4 guys who play significant snaps in one month (Robinson left for Kentucky a few weeks ago), 2 of them starters, is a huge, huge problem.

He's not gonna be able to plug all these holes on his sinking ship and husker fans aren't apparently intelligent enough to see that their recruiting is gone baby gone. They need to realize that a program's success isn't built on current players, it's built on being able to get good football players to come to your school in the first place.

Someone give me one legitimate, non-bonkers reason why any 4 star kid would come to that dumpster fire unless they're an AJ Epenesa type who knew he was gonna be a husker since 7th grade...I'll hang up and listen.

What I don’t get is why Luke is so set on being a QB if that’s the case. He’s not accurate enough with his throws, and he’s not big enough to be a Jordan Lynch guy who runs the ball 25 times a game and occasionally hits a wide open receiver when the defense sells out to stop the run. He’s got enough speed and shift to be a great slot receiver where he gets the ball on on screens or sweeps a few times a game and gets 5 targets or so in the passing game.

He knows he's got the job locked up now. I don't see a competitive P5 team that would take him on where he could start.
Someone on the Husker board said they should go after a transfer, but another guy replied that there’s no way a transfer is coming in to compete for a job with a 3-year starter, and I think that’s correct.

Strangely, they have had a handful of guys on the defensive side of the ball decide to accept their extra year of eligibility and hang around for one more. Their D has actually made progress over the last 3 years.

But the offense, Frost's baby, has severely regressed.

That has to be troubling for fans, right?
