Nebraska the little engine that could not

Nebraska is the best team left on our schedule. But, they are also the most fragile and the biggest head cases. And, I hate them the most. So, I will continue to root for them to lose in heartbreaking fashion the next two weeks. Then I want OSU to throttle them at home by 30. Then I want Wisky to Jump Around on them physically. I want them broken, mentally and physically, by the time we roll into Lincoln. I want Iowa to then kiss a third Nebraska coach good bye.
 
It’s getting interesting with them. They’re not winning but having very close losses to ranked teams, but they are very young and have only a handful of seniors.

There is a good chance Frosty the Shitman’s job will hinge on the Iowa game as they will probably have 5 wins going in and Iowa will be undefeated.

I agree, I think they beat Minny and Purdue which helps Iowa, they lose to OSU and probably lose to Wisky because it is on the road. The way Nebby played against OU, MSU, and Mich shows they are a tough out.

Last year I think it was Martinez was 20 for 22 passing against the hawks and they still couldnt beat us. But their DLine looks bigger and stronger and they have some good Lnbkrs.
 
I want Braska to beat Ohio and I want Ohio to beat everyone on their side. If Iowa miraculously wins out (which they won't) the refs would not homer the shit out of Iowa against Ohio if Ohio was firmly eliminated from playoff consideration.

I already said Iowa won't win out, this was merely a hypothetical. If Iowa were to make the title game with a blemish, they would need to win it and if OSU gets in there with a perfect Big Ten record, the refs would call about 9 bogus PI and hold calls on Iowa just to make sure OSU could win.

At this point I think the only thing on the line is whether we go to (a) the Quicklane Bowl in Detroit, (b) the Belk Bowl and (c) the Music City Bowl because I think we lose at least 4 of the remaining games.

Brandon Scherer family was in the neighborhood . when he said was going to iowa I ran into him I said one thing beat the hell out of Nebraska he smiled said. Because this part of iowa you love nebraska or you hate them and I hate them

5 super-seniors, and another couple talented traditional seniors (with a potential COVID year left if they want). And their offense is driven by a senior QB (with a COVID year if interested) and a grad-transfer WR.

They are really at a cross-roads...if they finish strong, get some guys to come back as super-seniors, and pique the interest of a few recruits, they could start to build something.

But if they continue to lose close games, and perhaps get blown out by OSU and/or Iowa, they could really crater. Imagine this team without their 7 best defenders, Martinez, and Toure. They would be Illinois.
