Nebraska May Have a QB Depth Issue Brewing

Is there any way he could transfer right now? There's really no point in him sticking around. He's more of a pro-style QB and not a fit for the Scott Frost offense.

Over on the Huskerboard sounds like they have a major QB issue brewing. Martinez (true FR) beat out Gebbia (RS FR) for the 1 spot. Gebbia not at practice today and "weighing his options" according to sources. If he flies the coop they would have a walk-on FR as their #2. Martinez is a dual threat QB so this may limit the "dual" for them all year.

Kid's gonna end up at Iowa State and pulling a football version of Lafester Rhodes on Iowa in 2021.

I'm thinking he might be able to do better than Iowa State. He was a 5.9 four-star from CA so he's probably pretty good. He's just a victim of the Nebraska coaching carousel. Looks like he's a sophomore and he hasn't burned his redshirt yet.

Barring some injuries, we beat these clowns by 30+
Martinez will have a lot of passes batted down this year; several interceptions...

If he's even alive by Thanksgiving. He has to go AT Michigan, AT Wisconsin, AT Ohio State and then play at home vs Sparty before going to Iowa City. Good luck Mr California 4-star with an Alabama offer

It makes me wonder, how much is Bama paying BOTH Tagovailoa and Hurts to keep them BOTH in Tuscaloosa?
Bama does NOT pay players. There is plenty of tape on Jalen, the kid just isn't a big game QB so his transfer options at QB are extremely limited. Did you see the Iron Bowl or that first half against Georgia?

LOL, this is just awesome...I love beating Nebraska's brains in year after year.
The funny thing is their fans are so delusional over there many think they will be contending for the B1G West this year. Can't wait for the next meltdown to begin about week 3 or 4.

Frost is not going to turn it around in one year. Their fans will need to be patient, which has never been a strength for them.

Fascinating development

My guess is that Frost has seen the tape last year of his offensive line and he figures he needs someone who can run for their life every passing down. You have to give him credit...he knows his players.

Probably getting paid with this:

Their fans better hope he can turn it around at some point, let alone year 1. If he can’t get it done, who is going to take that job with insane expectations?
