Rhule is a career .500 coach. Has had a couple teams that have been a flash in the pan but he kind of looks lost on the sideline, IMO. Also, Nebby has a winning record in only 3 of the last 10 years. Rhule has two and you have to go back to Pelini for the last prior to Ruhle. Also, no Nebby team under Ruhle has ever won a game when being down at halftime. Hard to believe you can't stumble into a win now and then.

Husker fans are worse than us about officiating.

To be fair, that could easily be called targeting whether it was or wasn't.

Also to be fair, Nebraska got, by my count, at least 4 completely mystifying forward progress spots that resulted in either first downs or touchdowns.

All the other "pass interference" calls are horsehockey.

I am quenched by their salty tears.

Oh, i think he'll improve them. But he won't be the coach that returns them to glory. For one, there is no glory. There isn't enough money in Husker nation. The core of "cheap" (NIL wise) in state players you need is shrinking at a rate in Nebraska not seen elsewhere. No recruitable out of state kid alive is old enough to think of Nebraska as anything other than what we see them today.

The best he can hope for is lightning to strike and the luck to pile up in a 2 year period like Wisconsin and Iowa have enjoyed. And apparently Indiana as well. But I also don't think Rhule is the kind of guy to set up that chance and more importantly, capitalize on it. It'll be the guy who replaces Rhule.

Agree, Nebby just has to realize what deficits they have to overcome as a program this day and age, much like Iowa.

Problem with Nebby is they have no identity to their team. That's very difficult in college football. When was the last time you could say that had an identity? Pelini??

How does a ST streaker get his helmet to the side of a punt returner running sideways? You can't aim to the backside as you'll whiff. It's even more defendeable when the returner lowers his head right at the defender.
