Nebraska Football = Quality Human Beings

You mean a good offense that wants to spread you out and prefers to run first? That November stuff is just a canard at this point. They are not Texas Tech. Their offense isn't much different from Northwestern or Purdue, and those teams are doing pretty good against us right now. Their worst problem on offense going forward might be injuries to the running QB. Without Martinez, they win one or two games this year.

Seriously...November weather is just a canard? You must have missed their 9-6 game the week before against Michigan State. Or our 14-10 contest against NW in 20 degree weather and some wind. Martinez is the real deal...no doubt about it...he's special, but if you don't think the weather plays a part in November in one or two games...you may have a major vision or comprehension problem.

I'm so freaking tired of people not enjoying wins against our rivals. People talk about Matt Campbell being a better coach than KF, yet he's 0-3 against KF. He's not. Frost is 0-1. Row the Boat Moron is 0-2. If you want to talk about Brohm right now...Brohm scares me. His recruiting is picking up, he's an offensive genius, and his teams come to play.

They avg'd about 550. Holding to 400 would be pretty solid.
Plus IDC how many yards anyone has, as long as the scoreboard says we win.
Yards only tells part of the story. Just like when you have a crappy punter and always either get or give a short field.
Frankly I wouldn't care if Iowa started from the 50 yard line all game and only had 300 yards, and all TD's, that would mean 42 points with only 300 total yards. 300 x 12 games, 3,600 yards per season. Or about what a b10 qb comes in at without any rushing yards, no picks, fumbles or returns adding to the score.
Case in point, how many yards did Braska get on MN? What was the score?

Brohm and Purdue match up well against Iowa's defense bcuz we dont pressure like some other teams. Just ask Brohm how he felt after playing at MSU and at Minny. Minny friggin killed them so the hawks should be looking at tape of that game.

Parker decided to go man to man with the corners a lot against PU but he didnt get to the QB quick enough. Blough didnt have that much pressure on him and on a couple of his long TD passes he flung the ball far and high after only about 2-2.5 seconds when your pass rush isnt going to get to him.

I have been saying for a long time you do not have to hold the ball 3-4 seconds to throw a long bomb, Qb just needs to read his receiver being even with the defender or in good position after 10 yards or a little over a second and check the safety then let it fly in 2-2.5 seconds. If it is incomplete big deal, if it is good you just got a big gain

I watched some of PU at MSU and what little I saw MSU got Blough off his spot etc. Didnt see PU at Minny. Let's see what Brohm has next year with a new QB.

I meant "Nebraska not being able to play in November" as the canard. Thought that was obvious if you read the post.

Holy shit! That was the worst thing I've ever seen! "Next year 12-0". Smh...

BTW, "Getting better day by day" means their consecutive days without losing streak continues to go up as the days pass.

Yeah because we just steamrolled them in Kinnick this year. I think they put up over 400 yards against our defense though didn't they?

Yeah, and we put up over 400 yards against their defense... and ran all over them, Sargent had 173 yards. We also had over 100 yards in returns (to their 30).

Wonder what Iowa's 16 class was "ranked"... ? I can imagine if they re-ranked it - it might be a top 10 class.

These rankings are from 247.

So Nebraska has a history of "outrecruiting" Iowa but in the past 4 years it hasn't shown up on the field.

His defense, as bad as it was, came damn close to beating Iowa in Kinnick. And he probably has the best QB, and second best player overall, in the division for at least the next 2 years.

For the life of me I don't understand Iowa fans going after this guy. People clowned on him all year long and his team almost beat Iowa and his recruiting the last 2 years has been good. I think he spent the early signing period last year coaching in Florida and he still had a good class.

Cause he says stupid arrogant shit. He told us in post game press conference his boys were on the smallish and weak side after 1 year in his program. he chalked up a win against Purdue before the game and he told michigan and ohio state to be very afraid before they played a snap this season and also wanted to keep Dec 1 open for BT title game. but other than dumb stuff like that why would we make fun of it???????????????????????

Wonderkid #2 (MC is #1) was gonna march right into the Big Ten and take the west cause ya know UCF was national champions!!!!
