I must confess that made me chuckle out loud………….I’m not going to further indulge this. It isn’t the OT board and I know Faith bothers some. I was mostly pointing out failing logic and mankind’s propensity to look down their nose at others, while “excusing” their own actions.

My whole belief structure can be encompassed by….”But for the Grace of God go I”….pretty silly for me to look down my nose at anyone else’s transgressions when I have had so many failings myself. The same goes for The University of Iowa.

You talk about failed logic, but you are the one saying that nobody has the right to look down their nose at somebody who has raped, or killed, or molested simply because they have told a lie before. Do you not look down your nose at child molestors because they have just committed a "transgression" and you have called in sick to work one day when you weren't actually sick? That doesn't make any sense whatsoever.

Holy bastardization of what I said Bat man....You said you’ve been to church and you also surely know that King David had Bathsheba’s husband murdered. There is a whole lot here you and I can’t reconcile with our wisdom.

The whole point of this is, why make ourselves look worse by calling out ND when we have clearly had our own problems. What’s the point……we can’t win; we can only look like idiots.

A. Just because I've done some stupid stuff in my life doesn't mean I can't look down upon some who decides it's okay to surf kiddy porn.

B. A friend of mine had a hand in this Notre Dame incident. No way he would have put someone up in that lift had he known this could have happened. Judge ND on whether or not they learned anything from this.

I don’t think you guys get it…………I’m trying not to keep bringing more religion into this but you clearly don’t get where I am coming from.

The apostle Paul vehemently and purposefully persecuted and authorized the killing of Christians. Yet he was redeemed and a pillar of the Faith. The Pharisee’s on the other hand were self-righteous, hard hearted and denied who Christ’s was, therefore they were condemned. Our morality and philosophy would clearly call Paul the worse of the two, yet he is not. Point being better for me to guard my anger and judgment, least I too fall into sin.

Yes I get it murder is bad, child porn is bad, but the world is a bad place just as much because of liars and cheaters and sneaks as much as it is these others.

There is NO degree of Sin in God’s kingdom. You think the ND thing is worse, well a person only looking at things selfishly may actually think the Rhabo thing was tortuous. I don’t but I’m biased or more to the truth careful about judging anything as I have said. Everyone and I mean EVERYONE can rationalize what they did wasn’t as bad as what their neighbor did. The fact that I am having such a difficult time getting some to see this is proof in and of itself. If you were on the other side of the fence you’d have a different opinion and here we are back full circle. Better to take a middle of the road stance and realize we all have failings and could have more…

This will be my last post here trying to explain this; I have clearly explained my point. It’s not anti-Iowa for sure, I love the Hawks and it isn’t Pro-ND because I hope they lose every game. But it IS be careful what you say; it’s only a matter of time and perspective.

You are right, I CAN rationalize that calling in sick at work and going to play a round of golf is not as bad as a neighbor molesting a child. The fact that you seem to think that I can't is extremely troubling.

I appreciate the early sunday school lessons though.
