Iowa won't be playing in the NCAA Tournament next year, or any other year, until this defense improves.

It will help, but will Woodbury help the massive amounts of 3's our defense allows? Woody will help in the paint, but the perimeter D needs alot of work. Hopefully the new guards coming in for next year will help remedy that.

I think so. I think part of the reason they allow a lot of threes is because if they get beat, we have no big man to help on defense so our guards have to protect the paint. With someone helping in the paint they can focus more on guarding the perimeter.

Our guards didn't even touch the paint defensively, no one defended the paint and we still gave up open threes all night long. That defense was a joke. Can't wait til Woody, Ingram and Clemmons get here.
