Well, some dissappointments on day 1.. but we trek on.

Nice to see Stieber facing Dardanes today though.. that's a previous loss for him, yes?

Montell presses on..

St John v Alton..

Really dissappointing loss for Evans.. which really hurts the team race..

Lofthouse v Storley.. should be good and a big match overall.

Gambrall presses on in the consos.. and it does look like the loser of Steinhaus v Bosak will be in his path.. :(

Very excited for Telford v Rey.. let's see what Bobby we get.

Championships are won on Fridays not Thursdays or Saturdays. We need probably 5 of 6 to win today for any chance. Will need lots of help too. Our lack of bonus points and focus kills this team. How they continue to do this into March is mind boggling sometimes. McD is the only machine we have. Other teams have 2-3 that do it. Ramos and StJ should be those guys but just aren't this year.

StJ and Marion have tough roads today. McD and Ramos will get tested tonight.

Today is definitely my favorite day in regard to the NCAA tourney. Should be some great and exciting wrestling in the Qtrs/Semis.

Hawks have two big head to head match ups in the Qtrs that they need to win.
DSJ vs Alton
EL vs Storley.

I think Minny's team title chances will take a serious hit in the Qtrs as they could easily lose 5-6 matches.
Dardanes vs Steiber
Dardanes vs Russell
Ness vs Parks
Storley vs Lofthaus
Steinhaus vs Bosak
Yohn vs Honeycutt
Having Cody Yohn score no pts in the tourney also hurts their chances.

Hopefully Penn St will lose 3-4 matches in the Qtrs.
Megs vs Saunders
Alton vs DSJ
Wright vs Bennett (Huge Match)
Wade vs Jack.

Would like to see Joe Colon (UNI) knock off Futtrell this morning.

This tourney is far from over.

GO HAWKS!!

Really dissappointing loss for Evans.. which really hurts the team race..

Strange as it seems, I'm not worried about Evans' loss last night. Obviously, it would have been great it he'd won, but at least Evans is one of the guys in our lineup that can do a lot of damage on top and get bonus points. On the front side of the bracket that's difficult, but now on the backside he'll be able to make up those points hopefully and still wrestle to or above his seed.

Good Point, you probably shouldn't waste your time following the team....

haha..butthurt much?

All I was saying was the Hawks are in a pretty deep hole and it will take a pretty miraculous effort across the board for them to win this thing. Impossible? No. Improbable? Yes.

I think I will still tune in to find out though bud.

Go Hawks!

Pretty fair....we have a shot but need help. Just how it is and being realistic is all you were doing.

McD escape and quick takedown. Up 6-2 and riding hard. Over 2 mins RT...and rides him out. going into the third up 6-2.

Mega up 1-0 with escape and takedown on Sanders. Leading 3-0. Sanders with escape, 3-1 Mega leading going into 3rd. Sanders to start down.

Thank you.

One thing that gets old is a couple of the "wrestling regulars" on here get all bent out of shape if someone who doesnt constantly post in the wrestling forum comes over and gives their 2 cents.

Thats my last comment on the subject as I dont want to hijack this thread and hope like hell the Hawks come out blazing!!
