NBA can't shake loose of thuggish image

I sort of feel sorry for David Stern. Shortened season due to greedy players.
Greedy player thinks its a good idea to tell press players should get paid for time in Olympics.

Fan beater Ron Artest, Metta World Peace, throws viscious elbow sending player to the floor. Stern reaponds with not so viscious suspension. MWP lies about incident with no real punishment.

Rondo bumps ref and gets minor suspension. Rondo lies about what happened and gets no additional punishment.

Why would people want to watch this garbage.
 
Amare tried to beat up a fire extinguisher too. He lost :)

It's daytime drama at night. Soap operas for men. :D
 
How about the NFL with the Bounty stuff, suspensions for head hunting, etc.? Or the MLB with the hate crime by Delmon Young this past weekend in NYC? Or hockey with the fighting in round 1 between the Flyers and Penguins or a Phoenix Coyote player getting a 20 some game suspension for a hit knocking a Blackhawk player unconsious?

But we get to hear "but thats playoff hockey". OP also probably didnt appreciate Joel Ward scoring the game winner in OT of Game 7 a few days ago either.
 
Are there any current NBA players that have spent time in federal prison? I can think of several, high profile NFL "thugs" who have, but none from teh NBA.

I have a strong feeling you know very little about why the lockout occurred.
