This is sad news but if he wasn’t going to return to Iowa, this seems like a much better outcome than if he landed at tOSU or Penn State. Obviously the staff invested a lot of time and scholarship to sign Nate. Looking back in hindsight, who would you have put those resources to sign in that class instead? My pick would be to throw top dollar at Tsirtsis @141/149, Doug Vollaro @ Hwt or use the extra money to sign transfer Tyler Caldwell @165. Your thoughts?

Yes he did...not only do the Hawks miss out on a great wrestler, but they also missed out on the opportunity to go after somebody else.

Tshirts for sure. Now there is a really good chance iowa is going to be very average at best now next year at 141, 149. it's shocking to me that that is the case.... Nate would've stepped right in and filled one of those holes. sucks.

I'm not going to decide what we lost until we see what he does. A few years ago everyone was as excited about Dweiza as we are now about Skon. Last i checked, Ballweg is holding that spot down. For all we know Skon could have been a career backup to Grothus, Kelly, Sorenson, or Marlin.
