I think that the poster was referring to my remark about Ferentz pulling out of the Henderson sweepstakes.

I think that the poster was off in comparing the Henderson scenario to "Bonecrusher" Williams ... it frankly would have been much more like Christensen.

In defense of 7's, the timeline was obviously off ... however, everyone on the list of suspects remains a viable candidate.

I certainly hope that some of the rumors are true on the MSU website about Davis being an Iowa lean ... however, I have a hard time believing it.

They might "in fact" end up being Hawks. I just hate it when people come on here and make random speculations and when they don't come to pass go missing.

I say if you want to go out on a limb, at least have the guts to come back and admit you were wrong. Because, as I have said, you know he would be on here beating his chest if he wasn't wrong.

Of course, he'll have no basis for beating his chest ... because his time-line was WAY off.

Your setting yourself up for alot of hate if you get all upset about random speculation on a message board.
I myself don't not like the BS stuff thrown out as well as the salesman speculation and purposeful misleading info. So I basically read what interests me and pay little to no attention to everything else.
I am a person that had plenty going on in my life I don't have time to waste on BS but its part of the deal so I give the info as little attention as possible and try to focus on people that are here for the right reasons and put a higher measure of trust in them.
 
I am not all upset. But I think it is like any bet. If you place the wager you collect or pay. If he was right he would have expected to collect his just awards for his prognostic abilities. Well, he wasn't right so he should have PAY by simply eating a little well deserved crow.

Doesn't seem like that taxing a standard.
 
Wow, looks like the message board police are out in full force.

I just got back from a wedding I had over the weekend and a long car drive.

I never claimed to have any "insider" info, nor would I use a lucky guess to give the false impression that I do.

I simply felt that we are in on a lot of good football players who are getting ready to make their college decisions and I still think many of them will end up choosing the Hawks.

However, if I must eat some crow for my 'speculation' post, now is a good time, as I am starving.

Sorry to upset so many of you by posting such nonsense. I promise not to do so in the future. I'll just leave all the posting on this board to the 'insiders'.

I will say, I wish the internet was a little less anonymous. I would have had no problem associating myself with the post, however, I guarantee you the internet tough guys wouldn't be barking up my tree if they had associate themselves with theirs.

The crow wasn't half bad. I guess I recommend eating after a long road trip.

Damn, all you needed to say was we were going to get two recruits in the next week and a half. So close, so close.

Darn, at first I was thinking the same thing, just a few days off. However, I then realized I wasn't expecting an sudden commitment from Fisher or a decommit from Shepherd.

So I was 1-2 on the commits we got, one being a few days later than I originally expected, and losing Shepherd actually brought the net total to just 1 in that time span.

So all things being even, I was still a bit off base. Those rumblings in my gut must have been something else. However, I am totally stoked that Campbell made it official, as I think he is going to be a stud.
