My 2012 college football preview

How does Iowa lose to ISU and Indiana and then play Auburn in the Gator Bowl?

How does Iowa even make a bowl game if they lose those 2 games. That would mean Iowa would have to beat a team that would most likely be a bigger upset than Indiana over Iowa. Just sayin.

This goober has only posted in threads that he started. I dont understand why your thoughts are here when you dont read anything on the site?

Its Ryno...he has a reading comprehension problem

for the second time indiana failed to wina single game last year against a bcs division school last year. whats so hard to understand?

Again, Iowa is an average/below average team. Upsets happen to ranked teams. Iowa always has these types of losses under Ferentz, it's common nature not upsets. Plus he predicted Iowa is in Gator Bowl. He has Iowa losing to ISU, Indiana and Minnesota, Iowa would have to beat Michigan, MSU or Nebraska in order to make Gator Bowl. That would be an upset.

im not defending anything deace said. im explaining to a three year old why an iowa team who hasnt gone worse than 6-7 in 13 years losing to a team who failed to win one game against a bcs conference D1 program last year would be considered an upset.

A team with zero conference wins beating Iowa would be an upset. Seriously

Vin how do you think Old Man Miller feels about you busting on his best friend like that?

As you know, PJ, life is a series of choices. Here are some examples of this tenet:
1. Tiny rush has chosen to be an ideological blowhard, and with that choice comes the expectation that those who are diametrically opposed will speak out.

B. JD has willingly associated himself with tiny rush for many years now, so he too has to expect some blowback.

Also, the First Amendment says hi. ;) :D

i will say this...reading the part about college gameday got me excited for 2 reasons...

1. made me think of those college football saturday mornings

2. be great to see lee corso booted and replaced with just about anyone

but i agree with most others, iowa can't lose to indiana, ISU, and minnesota and still make the gator bowl

CONFERENCE UPSET OF THE YEAR—Indiana over Iowa

I'd hardly call that an upset. You guys have been watching the crapstorm of mediocrity Kurt has put on the field the past two seasons, no? I mean we've lost two in a row to a barely competitive Minnesota team for crissakes.

And I say "we" because I'm complicit in financing this travesty.

I''ll not dispute the fact that Deace is a blowhard and his football pick posts are pretty absurd but when it comes to this site isn't the First Amendment trumped by Old Man Miller?

BTW whar OK4P? Haven't seen him around in awhile.

Of course you're correct: around here, le Diesel defines the Bill of Rights, not teh SCOTUS. :D

I have no idea whar OK4P is. He has other diversions and distractions in the offseason, I suspect.

Tiny Rush is a twitchy vitriolic gay-hater and religious fanatic...which begs obvious questions which I'll refrain from posing here in this forum.

Tiny Rush's absolutist fundamentalist authoritarian zealotry is admittedly mildly entertaining when it's applied to sports, but when it's unloaded on our family, friends and neighbors and their basic civil rights?

I'm not laughing, bra. Not f'n amused.

And I don't associate with such individuals, and they usually know or learn fast to not associate with me.

Standards.

I'm a Hawkeye fanatic (and also happen to be a Christ fanatic)....so there's nothing wrong with being "fanatic" so long as your fanaticism doesn't impune on someone else's rights. Unless they're Clone fans, then impune away! ;)
