Here's a picture of NY City for you.

I'm Waiting For The Man

Over You

Lisa Says

It's Just Too Much
A little narcotic transaction going down in Harlem. A Jewish Caucasian going up to 125th street with twenty six dollars in his hand.

Did Lou Reed have balls or what? I have little doubt the song is autobiographical.

What would twenty six dollars buy you in 2019? Definitely not the works and probably not the greatest of taste. You would still have to split because you would still have no time to waste.

Lou actually wrote the song in 1963, as a Junior at Syracuse University. It's certainly plausible that it is autobiographical even at this early point.

A little fun. The two songs Lou Reed wrote in 1962 as a summer intern at Pickwick Records in NY after his sophomore year in school.

Your Love

Merry-Go-Around

You know, there is nothing quite like the euphoria you experience when you hear a great song. Some music just lifts you and you think of all the possibilities of life ya know?

Speaking of weird cover songs.

Walk On The Wild Side - hot jazz cover - with a French accent.
It's actually a pretty damn good version.
