Music at Kinnick

I think it's bc the players actually get to pick the songs. They should let the team pick what they want to hear...I mean it's them that need to get pumped up in the first place. Then let Kirk give the okay, and off we go to a championship!! End up discussion folks!
What song do you think DJK would have picked? Something by Eric Clapton?

What was the game Adrian played so crappy at cause his stalker was there? I always feel like somebody's watching me would have been a great. 3rd quarter song.

The real issue is actually all the stinkin TV timeouts...if it weren't for all of them we wouldn't have so much time to stand there waiting and need music fillers!

The one that got me is playing "Party Rock" right after the pick 6. Couldn't we find something a little more appropriate? But be thankful we aren't Missouri fans whose band plays after EVERY play.

I think Oklahoma does that a lot too. They play that annoying song after every semi-decent play.

How about if we keep the time machine running and play that awful "Tonight's gonna be a good night" song that was a hit among the 12 year old set 5 or so years ago.

That song is equivalent to a used tampon in the morning after a night of getting dick pounded by Wilt Chamberlain while at maximum "flow"

You live in Texas? Hmmm... A dick pounding joke. Can you tell me if you just had a baby recently? Are you crabby when you drink?

The advertising needs to go. I was at a Arizona game earlier this year and during any breaks they put on all sorts of great tunes and showed the students on the video board throughout the game. I haven't seen Iowa's yet but the one in Az is really nice and good HD. The student section get's really rocking and the old fella's that still have a pulse get pretty dam excited watching the talent dancing around in jort's. Odds are when the old fella get's home he's going try to take one more run at the old lady, and she's either going to be pleased or he's going to have the big one trying. He could possibly have a large sum of money in his will for the University. The ads have to go.

This song after halftime and let it build with volume.

I know this has been discussed at volume on here, but Saturday was my first game this season (I got married earlier this fall, so my time was limited).

But really... a Bush song on every 3rd down? And... did the team really come out of the locker room at half time to "Old Time Rock & Roll"?

Tell me that's not the norm. Old Time Rock & Roll? No kid playing or being recruited wants to hear that.

I did notice a newer Beastie Boys tune (Make Some Noise), which was nice, but they also played "What does to the Fox Say", so they are damn well capable of playing newer music.

The crowd was great, the game was better, the music was AWFUL!

It's atrocious. Just atrocious. Grimace city.

You have to TRY to suck that bad at choosing music.

I do believe that they are trolling the fans at Kinnick.

Bush? Seger? Are you fkn serious? For crissakes, just get the Back in Black cd and pick songs at random.

It's unfathomable how they can fail so miserably on the music selection, every game. Me thinks that Kirk has control over the music being played. That's gotta be it, right?

I've been paying special attention to the music played at other stadiums. And like another poster above stated, they play the same crappy music that Iowa does.
However, "Old time rock & roll" is inexcusably bad.

Whoever chooses the music is really in a no win situation no? Because we all have our likes and dislikes of music, very wide ranging obviously.

He doesn't need to "win" with everyone - just not lose everyone. Does ANYONE want to defend the choice of music Saturday?

Might as well say f-it and play Enya.

Maybe I am confused. But I always thought it was Hells Bells on 3rd down.
I know the Bush song quite well and cant remember ever hearing it. Maybe I just dont pay attention.
