msu fake injuries

Here's how I'd do it:

1. If a player is injured, he cannot return to the game for the rest of the series.
2. For the second and each subsequent injury of a series, a team timeout must be used.
3. If a team is out of timeouts, a 5 yard delay of game penalty is assessed.

Would be interesting to "track" he MSU injuries. For instance, I don't remember it happening on one single MSU offensive play. I don't remember it happening where we had a play for lost yardage. It only seemed to happen when we were moving the ball reasonably well and/or getting first downs. And frankly, I am surprised it did NOT happen on the 4th-and-1 where we got the penalty after appearing to convert.

I'm not usually a conspiracy type, but it sure seemed like MSU players and the injuries had amazing timing.

Funny you should say this, because on that play it actually did sort of happen if I remember correctly. There was an MSU player limping off but the refs hadn't stopped play yet. Seemed like that sneak was really open so I wondered if they were missing a lineman for the guy who was limping off.

Actually, I think there were a couple guys that tried coming off due to injury on that 4th down play. One guy was almost to the sideline before he realized they weren't stopping the action and Iowa had hurried up to the line. He, of course, started to run back to the line of scrimmage. The other person I think was Gholston. He started motioning toward the sideline that he needed to come off, but then got back on the line when Iowa rushed to snap the ball.

pretty sad, but i guess if that's the type of players and program they want to be a part of, that's on them...
