More Ridonkulousness from Crean, if true

From three years ago, but the handshake certainly seemed to catch Matta by surprise.

Matta and Crean hate each other.

Bobby Knight was supposably reaching out to Matta and helping him with coaching drills. Well Matta used that to rub it in the nose of Crean and Indiana fans as Knight will have absolutely nothing to do with Indiana since he was fired. Matta had also been linked to some dirty recruiting in Indiana especailly when Crean was trying to build Indiana back up.

So yeah those two hate each other.

One thing about having Bob Knight coach at IU for so many years with so many incidents, the IU fans have shown they have great tolerance for any kind of embarrassing behavior by their coach,as long as he wins.
Mike Davis did not win enough to be tolerated, as well as being guilty of being black while coaching in the state that is the home of the KKK.

I caught an interview on Bloomberg yesterday between Knight and a young asian-american woman...( could not help but flash back to his famous line about rape ''if it is inevitable, just lay back and enjoy it''..) with Knight promoting his new book titled ''The Power of Negative Thinking'' ...yes, seriously, and she asked him if he had any regrets...his answer? ''Only that I stayed too long at a couple of my jobs''...Crean and Knight are two arrogant, egotistical peas in a pod.

Crean is a arrogant jerk. You can tell because the Indiana players have the same attitude.

The problem about Crean calling-out of a former coach who was involved in NCAA violations is not that he wrecked the program -- wrong.

Indiana wrecked their own program by hiring Sampson who hired assistants that violated the rules. Everyone knew Sampson was a cheater and Indiana still hired him. If you plant corn in the spring, you're going to harvest corn in the fall.

So the fall of their program -- it's all on them.

Has any of this been recognized by the parties involved? The link took me to a Buckeye message board. Lots of "speculation" of what was said or what transpired.

If so, why does the plaque on the front of the trophy say "Big Ten Tournament Champion"?

The answer is that the auto bid goes to the tournament champion, not the conference champion.

The mob worked out great. We got rid of a cancer in our program. The problem is the recovery process has been as bad as the original disease. I am glad to announce that we are now in complete remission, in other words, WE ARE BACK. ;)

Note the size of CHAMPIONS on that trophy. It is bigger than the rest of the text. They are the champions.

Next, I suppose some prole is going to come on here alleging that the overall number 1 seed in the NCAA tourney is really the national champion irregardless of what happens in the tourney because that's basically what I'm getting from all these posts aimed at diminishing the accomplishments of Alford. Ridiculous.

Note also that it says TOURNAMENT champions.

GO HAWKS!!!

But that is the team with the auto berth. Therefore, they are the champions. Is the overall number 1 seed the NCAA national champion or is the team that actually wins the final game the national champion? Is Notre Dame the football national champion because they were number 1 at the end of the season or is Alabama the national champion because they won the national championship game?

Face it, Alford has some championships. Fran will get his first in the B1G on Sunday afternoon.

So much win from OK4P.

I need to swing buy the trophy case at Carver some day and see if Alf had the word tournament taken off the plaques on the two trophys.

The thing about college basketball is you could go 0-30 in the regular season and it doesn't matter (save for the Ivy league). What matters is how you play in March. The rest of the season is irrelevant. Does anyone remember when Alford went undefeated at home in Horner and Brunner's senior year? No, all they remember was Northwestern State hitting that prayer three at the end of a game in which they were lucky to even be in the arena. That stuff happens, guys.

THE SEASON STARTS TODAY.

I remember dropping a large lead while Alf sat on the bench and pouted more than I recall the three pointer at the end. I knew with five minutes to go in the game that it was already over.

I remember reading the old scout board and seeing you scrambling to make reservations to get out to Detroit with 5 minutes to go so you are full of crap.

True story, I was in the D on biz and was sitting in a conference room with a Hawk fan who lived out there watching the game on the bigscreen. I was going to extend my trip a few more days and me and him were making plans to roll over to the Palace for the second round game. That shot went in and I called the travel gal - "keep me on my original flight." When I went to the airport, the look of dejection on the Hawk fans' faces was among the worst I've ever seen. I was sporting a suit and was chanting "Go Hawks" and was nearly murdered about a dozen times. Lot of butthurt.
