Moore Gone at Michigan....

The timeline I saw reported by a Michigan beat writer is that they investigated the allegations this Summer and both of them denied the affair. Apparently, the side piece walked into the AD's building this week and came clean and had texts, emails, etc. showing the affair. The AD then pulled the trigger. Its unclear how involved the outside investigators were this week given the confession and evidence.

Its also not clear why she did it. Was she spurned? Or, did she feel the walls closing in and felt it best to come clean before the investigators figured it out on their own? Either way, if she is smart she lawyered up first because this could go a couple different ways for her.
I don't see Warde Manuel surviving this one either.

I've read that not only did he know about the affair, he knew about Moore paying for the abortion to keep it quiet and approving her $40,000 raise after the fact.

Massillon OH is about 4 hrs from Happy Valley. Now, I don't know where his wife's parents are from or from the west PA area. No idea. Ann Arbor is about 3.5 hrs from Massillon so is negligible.
It's like a guy growing up in Eastern Iowa, playing at Northwestern one year, returning to Iowa for the rest of college and his early coaching career and then taking a job @ Colorado State for 10 years.

He then gets hired by Illinois and says that's "coming home". Not exactly.

I agree. And, in today's modern HR world, I have never heard of a high level executive being fired 1-1 by his boss in a closed door setting. That is amateur stuff. It feels more like a damage control meeting. The whole thing smells and I agree that the AD is in real danger. He still has Harbaugh's stink on him as well. If I was the president I would clean house.

My selfish wish is that there are people who have cell phones in their pockets recording these conversations and leaking them.

Michigan is a one-party consent state.

However, that's pretty unlikely because those conversations are much more valuable as blackmail.

To my understanding, Moore showed up that morning preparing for the Citrus Bowl. He was called into the AD's office, door closed and he was fired. Doubt he had any opportunity to record it, and if what we think is true about the AD, the AD would not have wanted it recorded either.

He ended this same day in jail on a suicide watch and on suspicion of some serious felonies. Oh, and he probably lost his wife, money, and access to kids to boot. That probably qualifies as a worst day ever.

Looks like he might be ending today in jail too, he didn't get an arraignment yet. Must be still be some additional stuff they're figuring out to charge him with. Assuming they got the easy assault charge filed within the 24 hours to be able to keep him for a bit.

Some women don't help themselves. That's all I have to say on it.
We all know the tough girl in HS or even after that said shit to anybody, including guys, because they knew nobody would or should touch them. Sometimes they guess wrong. And, I'm not saying that is right because I would never act and I believe I taught my boys to never react, but not all are disciplined enought not to react. So, while I agree ya don't go there or assault any woman/girl, I can also acknowledge that sometimes they don't help themselves and shouldn't presume they can get away with it.

Now, I know and expect that you are going to come back to me and blast me in a response and that's OK. I get it.

Oops. I didn't realize the page was 3 pages beyond this response!

News flash, some women are dirt bags too. :)

Consider yourself blasted using a small firecracker. lol

So is this other person he assaulted someone other than the staffer?
I saw an excerpt of a Michigan podcast that according to them it went down this way...none of the below are my words:

The AD and pretty much everyone else knew they had a fling going for quite a while. Leadership called them both in and both denied it. She eventually got pregnant, Moore paid for the abortion which Manuel also knew about. Later on she admitted to it which is why/how he got fired. After the firing he went home and got into a huge argument with his wife and threatened to kill himself. Then he drove to the staffers house pounded on the door and came in. Had a knife and threatened to kill himself there too. Also threatened her. Then he left the staffer's house and the cops found him sitting in his car near a church.

Again, this is what I heard on that pod cast excerpt, they seemed like a pretty well-established Michigan pod with guys who wouldn't spout a bunch of BS if it wasn't true. It looked like a professionally produced show.

I went to YouTube to watch the whole episode, and they also talked about people making her out to be a victim similar to the discussion here yesterday. The talk was how almost every outlet is treating her as the victim (which she may very well be as far as assault--I agree with that), but she's not innocent in this thing which I also agree with. She knew he was married with kids and carried on with him for many months. The victims are Moore's wife and kids.

She's just as much a POS as Moore if true. She was a willing participant in totally destroying a family. She had time to think about that...a lot of time. It wasn't a drunk hookup. Her being assaulted, if true, is a terrible thing. But you can be a victim of assault and a POS homewrecker at the same time.

Pretty spot on how I presumed it went down. Thanks for the info.

I just do not understand how stupid people can be. Greed and lust are two of the attributes that is the worst for our society. Greed, lust and gambling. All downfalls of a society.
