Moore, ferentz, blazek

Oh joy, another anonymous internet poster with a thread about who will be our offensive coordinator.

I think Woods gets added to LBs, then BF and Blazek get added to the offensive staff, with Moore being a consultant. That or someone else leaves.

Zero chance Kirk names someone other than Campbell or Erb as OC.

Really? Reports are that the Hd Coach from The Citadel already was talked to and Erb will retain his Sp Tms duties, accrding to KF...you really see KF giving his O.Coord Sp tms duties, too?

I would suggest that the odds are greater that it is not Erb or Campbell.

We need a QB coach. It has to be either Moore or Raih with Soup as OC, or they could go outside and get a QB/OC hybrid.

No way in hell AJ Blazek fits any of those bills.

There is some talk of EJ moving to administrative role and AJ coaching TE's.

This was third hand info to me.

Can recruiting coordinator be an administrative position that doesn't count against the coaching limit? I would assume so.

I don't know how many off field positions are allowed. But one is certainly vacant with the promotion of Woods.

Scott Southmayd also serves in an administrative/quality control role.

The compensation for these jobs is significantly less than an on field coaching position for Iowa right now. I suppose they could pay what they wanted however. EJ is also the recruiting coordinator.

I don't have any solid info on that move. Heck just a few weeks ago I was told Raih would in fact be the QB coach. Only to be told about Moore last week.

All speculation but I wouldn't put anything past Ferentz at this point. He seems willing to shake things up and think outside the box (see Morgan move) to accomplish what he wants.
