Moment of Silence.

Maybe the kids will try harder this year. I remember getting out of class, crossing the street to the Airliner for a quick beer, and then off to the next class.

My kid is an incoming Freshman this Fall. We were discussing her goals for this year. I hope she doesn't read that story and see it as motivation.

She better or she has no business here. I don't know what happened but I know I did my part this last year. Heartbroken at this development.
:p

This is what happens when you crack down on tailgating ... very disappointing. We need more effort next year.

I saw this a little while ago. Still in the top 5...

Sally should be happy.

Booyah!.gif

Guys - Illinois is 5th on the list. That immediately calls into question the validity of the entire list. It is about as credible as a report on Global Warming, err, climate change, funded by either Greenpeace or ExxonMobil.

I school I graduated from would have to come close to dead last in the party school list. University of Missouri-Rolla, where the men are men, the women are scarce, and the sheep are very nervous. Although, I didn't see a sheep the entire time I was there, so that option was pretty limited as well. You could always drink yourself into a coma though. Every now and again they the "social club" I belonged to would break out the grape Kool-Aid & Everclear and try commit suicide en masse. Nasty stuff. I tried to be somewhere else.

I was thinking the same thing. I've been to Champaign-Urbana several times and it's like watching paint dry. No way they are in the top 5. UW-Madison is at #8 and they should be way above the Illini.

Correct. If I were ranking the towns in the B1G, Madison, IC and East Lansing would occupy the top 3 spots. Evanston, Champaign and West Lafayette would fight for the bottom 3.

Funny, that was the very first college visit I did. I liked the sound of the academics, but I certainly picked up the vibe you're talking about. Instead I went to Coe where the men are boys, the girls are plentiful and sexy, and the school hosts an annual on-campus kegger and cancels classes.

I remember the ExxonMobil one - didn't that come out right after the study they sponsored saying crude oil could be utilized as toothpaste?
