Minnesota’s New Unis Have An Oar On The Helmet

Fleck strikes me as Harbaugh lite. All hat and no cattle to date. I believe similarly, the Minnesota fan base will have a limited tolerance of this buffoonery before they expect results. Win and the buffoonery bank is replenished but if not, people get tired of it.

There is a lot to be said for staying on an even keel and rarely going below seven wins. Half the institutions that participate in collegiate football would love to be able to say that. On the other hand it does feel like being stuck in a rut after a while. So there are two sides to that coin.

This is where I'm at as a fan. I know I should be careful what I wish for but after 20 years of watching Kirk's offensive scheming (that seems like too clever of a term to use) I'm just tired of it. The win loss record is not that bad - although I think if we would won even half of the "games you're supposed to win" that we lost over the last 20 years I'd probably feel a lot better. That would probably be an additional 30 wins in the books. Its more frequently the way we lose.

I dunno about 30, but certainly 3 or 4 against ISU plus a half a dozen others.
 
Laughable as the ‘orr’ has nothing to do with Minnesota’s history. Now they are tied to a schtick from Western Michigan. They should play now for a set of orrs.

Also could that green and yellow uniform combo be any more of a joke. Are they trying to hijack NDSU?
 
Fleck now wants to change all the trophies they play for each year. He wants to put a Bronze Oar up Floyd of Rosedale's ass? Change Paul Bunyan's Ax to Paul Bunyan's Oar...and change the Little Brown Jug to Big Brown Jugs and put an Oar between them.;)

And you think Iowa has problems with Barta. That AD should not allow that clown to bring this type of schtick into their history. Wow...Minnesota has won 7 National Championships in football from 1904 to 1960. Every guy that's dead from those teams just turned over in their graves. Minnesota now has an Oar added to their history. I get Hayden Fry changed our logo, but he kept it in line with Hawkeyes...and it made sense. I'm not sure what a golden gopher, a land mammal, does with a freaking oar?
