For everyone that wants to blame the zone blocking, and I am not saying I am a huge fan of it, but Wisconsin's hat on hat blocking doesnt look any different when there are more defenders in the box than blockers and the penetrate the gaps.

I don't get why you guys want Wisky to win. It makes them look better and ads another trophy to their case. We have to play these guys every year, and we haven't done well vs them lately. It looks good to their recruits (guys we are after) when they have a 2020 Rose Bowl trophy in their hands and how many Big 10 West trophys as well, compared to our one? Don't root for them!! They are our #1 enemy in football, we want them to fail!!!
That is the old Hayden Fry 3 running back counter play. Fry could run all kinds of directions etc from that formation.
Taylor went to the left and that influences the lnbkrs etc and the back to the left cross bucks or counters to the right for an easy run.
That formation is why Iowa needs a little more 2 running back sets with them split so they can occasionally do some really good counter action that surprises the opponent and also holds that backside pursuit in place.
Would love to see Toren Young and Goodson in the backfield at the same time a few times to 6-10 times a game and be novel about how you use them.
I think Goodson could catch about 30 balls out of the backfield with great results

The safeties didn't have a great day tackling either. However, you are correct Welch's absence was a big factor
Wisky is going to get their recruits. They hawks have really good players also but I am not so sure we arent losing to Wisky most of the time due to coaching , us vs them
