Minnesota, Michigan, Wisconsin & Indiana Bowl Games

So you choose to decline a penalty, then the pass is overturned, then you can change your mind and accept the penalty?

Sounds like a loophole being worked there. Must be something in place there.
Why is that a loophole?

Officials said it was a catch so of course you would decline. Officials then said, “oops, our bad. No catch.”

So because of their mistake you can’t have a different decision on the penalty.

Seems logical.

It seems logical enough. But at the same time it seems a little dirty.

I mean you can't change your mind on a coin toss when the official screws up, and an inadvertent whistle stops a play dead regardless of what the offense, or defense would have earned. A defensive back can grab a receivers leg when he's going to get burned for a TD and it's only fifteen yards.

It just feels like something is off with being allowed to change your mind, even if in this case it isn't.

Every bowl game with a B1G team playing

Seems to be a revenge game for the zebras

Ifthe official screws up the toss then it’s flipped again.

An inadvertent whistle — there is nothing to change your mind about.

Replay is part of the officiating process for clearly obvious mistakes. Depending on the outcome of the call/review would then dictate to one’s decision.

Besides, The referee didn’t look over to Chryst once when waving his arms. He assumed it was a catch so the penalty would be declined.

I agree that they should start showing a minute or two of each band that plays. Too much analysis and commercials. hell they have plenty of commercials during game time.

I agree. Tired of listening to 5 or 6 people give their 2 cents on what we just saw. Usually just more air time to pump more escpn dialoge or belittle the B1G somehow or someway.

I thought Big10 officiating was bad but....

Man, with so many Big10 and SEC teams in these bigger bowl games and having to come up with ACC or BigXII officials to do those games....

this is some really poor officiating

Agreed. 20 minute halftime and 10 minutes of commercials.

Whoa, Wisky is throwing this game away and dropping it away. 3 turnovers at least but somewhat evened out by the great kickoff returns by Wisky which is why if you have great special teams you can win a lot of extra games.

Kick return not withstanding, special teams have hurt Wisconsin the last couple years. Missed fg's muffed punt returns, bad holds, now a punter is peeking at the rush and drops the ball, then doesn't fall on it.

Oregon almost got to a punt in the first quarter. They didn't, but it was undoubtedly on the punter's mind this time.

Why does Wisconsin never make the mistakes against us like that?
i know, right! Maybe this is a watershed game for Wisconsin turnover luck.

But They did that once.
Iowa doesn’t get much credit for that win.

Fowler gets a chubby every time Taylor carries the ball. “Taylor LOOKING FOR DAYLIGHT, and a 2 yard gain.”

Wisconsin had that same halftime show when Iowa played them in Madison and it was pretty cool, especially with Veteran's Day at hand.
