Miller: Ferentz 'Dead Serious' ; Is He Dead Wrong?

Ferentz is a good coach at developing players- he just fails at in game strategy and game day management - any cerebral ability he has he flushes out and becomes some sort of ******** robot.

Even back when he won I ALWAYS noted this - its never changed win or lose.

Really its amazing the success he has had with such poor skills in this area.
 
I'll buy it ... at least it'd mean that KF is engaged in thought, rather than just presiding over this decline

as inconsistent as our punting has been, he should discontinue that as well
 
It took all the way to the 2nd punt the Hawks saw after these comments by Ferentz for a return. OSU didn't punt, and the first one was fair caught against NU. KMM then returned the Wildcats' 2nd punt of the day.

So much for abandoning the punt return game. I am excited to see how this change in philosophy will positively affect Iowa's recruiting.

agreed. Did he make another comment somewhere else? He didn't say anything negative about a player or another poster. And in fact, he was right. People who seriously thought Iowa would never return a punt under Ferentz are either really gullible or don't understand that not calling for a punt return is not the same as not returning a punt.

Because it's just another rock being tossed by the poster. I've grown tired of it.

I am not sure this is aimed at me or at this Clark guy...as I can't honestly remember any specific post of his or his general attitude. I'll assume it's aimed at me since I asked the question....

I hadn't read through this thread until the morning as I get behind on games days since I am a the games. I had read part of it when it first came out but not since. Since I noticed the Hawks returned a punt at the NW game, I opened it back up because the conversation was new. Section136 only stated what everybody saw and then it was apparent that you banned him.

If he was being obnoxious in another thread then maybe it was justified but it's really hard to follow the rules around here if they constantly change.
 
Did anyone notice any difference in the formation? It looked like they were bringing 4, and both KMM, and Riley Mac were in return with the rest of the team setting up the return.

Gosh, this sucks. Looking at his posting history he is mild compared to some of the goons that appeared on here after the Hawk win. Perhaps some of us that have been with you so long tend to get under your skin quicker?
