I would rather see Bernsteine after the vertical jump he had at Pro Day.
He would throw it down hard.
McNutt played HS BB he would have been fun to watch.

Herby is right, they should let the football team play basketball also. Almost all of them probably played high school basketball at some point. Then the ones that wrestled put on the wrestling team. Or go the other way and let May play tightend!
actually McNutt was a standout on the BB team as was CJF. then you add in Hamilton who played beside White on the same team.
and if you notice there are a lot of HW champions wrestlers on the OL and are now being recruited for the DL. most of Iowa FB recruits are 2 or 3 sport stars for their school

they could have filled in for Archie and Brommer as the bigs, you talk about needing big bodies well CJF brings a 6'7 250 lbs McNutt could have added depth at shooting Guard, and Hamilton would have added depth at a forward spot and as Iowa had 2 open scholarship so CJF and McNutt would not take anybodies schollies away from them.

probably on the RS For Gabe, as i believe if Brommer and Archie stepped up their game he would have. but that's the beauty of Hindsight. it allows for 2nd guessing. or ridiculing some one who makes a simple prediction that fails to materialize.
