Man, I really thought I'd be willing to root for the Badgers today to knock off MSU to get them their second loss, but after having a few minutes to reflect, pushing Wisconsin down further in the standings is pretty gratifying too. I'm shocked that this one can go either way for me, and I'm happy.

I guess just to hold out a glimmer of hope for sharing the B10 title, I'll pull for Wisky. Seeing Bo Ryan on the sideline may change that at the tip though. I just can't root for the grinch.

I feel the same way. Interesting to see Vegas has the Badgers as a 3.5 point favorite.
 
Go Badgers, beat Sparty down.

Wisconsin wins, Iowa will be only 2 down in the loss column with 7 to play.
 
Even if only one of the Michigans loses 2 and we get second, it would be great for seeding in the tournaments.
 
I was pondering this very same ? Early this morning. Two ways to look at it. Either wisky wins to help keep iowa in the hunt orpunt on the big 10 title idea and play for 2nd which may be more realistic. Then if mich st beats wisky and iowa beats mich st at their place boosts iowas rpi/bpi. Im torn. Heck, go for the title. Iowa hasnt sniffed contender status for so long. Go big or go home!!!!
 
So Iowa still has Wisky at home, right?

If you are as good a yr BPI and as good as your beat down of MICH, then why would you not want Wisky to win and then beat down Wisky at home?

Sparty still has road games qt tOSU and MICH, plus, IOWA at home.

Iowa needs some help, but not vs wisconsin....
 
Seven games left is a lot of time for moving up so I say pull for Wisky.

If msu loses and we are 2 games out and with a game against msu then the hawks have it in their grasp to get to within one game of msu in loss column.

We have Wisky at home to give them another loss.

This is all predicated on Iowa winning all or most of their games going forward. The osu loss was a tough one for this very reason, the hawks got that big win at the illini and a win over osu would have them sitting well.
 
Wisconsin is now -4. I think Izzo plays the underdog card...1st time all season. Payne has a big game in his 2nd game back and Michigan State wins. I'm pulling for Michigan State but there is some upside to a Wisconsin win. I hope they beat each other to a pulp.
 
The point was, I know we should root for Wisky, but my disdain for Wisconsin is so great...having MSU win still makes me happy. Let's hope for some "Kohl Center Magic"...that magic translates to Wisconsin shooting the double bonus at the ten minute mark in both halves...similar to Hilton Coliseum.
 
I should be pulling for Sconsin but I simply can't watch them and hope they win. I've tried, it doesn't work.
 
Not a big MSU fan, but they just got their first FT attempt with 12:33 left in the game. That's ridiculous. I know I'm supposed to pull for Wisconsin in this game, but, damn, that's a hard thing to do.
 
Wiscy has a gem in Hayes. Along with Dekker, those 2 are a couple nice young players and building blocks for Bo in the next few years.

If Wisconsin loses they will be two games behind Iowa in the standings, so I'd just as soon see them lose.

I want both teams to lose. We are not going to catch MSU this year, and need to stay as far above Wisconsin as possible. If we finish higher than them in regular, it could lead to a higher seed in the Dance....
