Michigan, Nebraska and Iowa?

Michigan's run in the 1990's was so dominant it even drove Nick Saban out of town.
You are really making some idiotic comments in this thread. Saban’s last year at Michigan St, he finished 6th in the nation at 9-2. Tied with Michigan in the b10. He left for...LSU! Ran out of town. Lol!

Wha...Don't like the facts I posted?

Didn't think you would.

As for idotic, your comment in the Kansas basketball thread is about as idiotic as it gets. We don't swim in the same waters as Kansas because we don't cheat like Kansas. We did bend some rules when Raveling was on the recruiting watch however. That's how we got those guys.

Tell me again who you want in college football to coach this team. You seem to have all the answers, who is going to carry on the legacy that Hayden built and Kirk maintained?

Michigan was significantly better in the Hayden years so you are comparing apples to hand grenades. Hayden was 10 times the coach this guy has ever been based on multiple levels and I’m really not interested in repeating the multiple reasons why yet again either
Hayden was a better coach than Ferentz, but not ten times better. Again, another idiotic comment. Brace yourself for some more facts. Kirk has five season ending AP top Ten finishes, Hayden has one. Kirk is 8-8 in bowl games, Hayden 6-7-1. I would wager that Kirk's teams average more points than Hayden's. Want me to do the research? And Kirk didn't have the luxury of dragging Wisconsin and Northwestern through the mud for an entire decade. Hayden dealt with masterminds like Donnie Duncan, Jim Criner and Jim Walden during the Iowa State massacre era. Kirk has had Dan McCarney and Matt Campbell to deal with for for about two thirds of his time at Iowa.

Hayden was the better coach for many reasons. But Kirk isn't as far behind as you would like to think.

Kirk's teams have averaged 27.8 ppg during his Iowa career.

Hayden's averaged 25.9 ppg.

Goddamn facts again! Ol vanilla's teams have put more points on the board, per game, than the innovative offensive scratch where it itches genius. No ifs, ands, or buts.

Hayden was the better coach, but these Kirk haters can F themselves. The more they hate, the more I will blow your mind with facts. Where do you want to go next, should we talk about which coach put more players in the NFL?

@oldhawk12 I think you need to stop following sports where facts can be quantified, and start following those whose performances are judged subjectively, like figure skating and gymnastics. Because too many of your opinions are based on subjectivity, you seem to fall for subjectivity, and your personal feelings for a coach are not a fun way to root for your favorite teams.

I think we are all on the same page when it comes to Nebraska’s history v. current state of their program. Their fans being “stuck in the 90s”, etc. They do indeed “overhype” their team. Their expectations are far too lofty. Their fans project a caliber that their play doesn’t merit.

But to their credit, when they’re getting absolutely embarrassed at home, on national TV, on their big “our program has arrived” moment... the stadium is 100% full of red. They might have been temporarily silenced by the OSU bloodbath, but through the very end of that miserable game, every seat is full. Looking at Kinnick, and even Camp Randall in recent weeks, we can’t claim that.

I promise you that Nebraska fans leave in droves early during blow outs. Maybe not as much as other schools but people leave.

Plus that was against a top 5 opponent. Kinnick will look like that next week against penn state. When Nebraska plays cupcakes that stadium isn’t jammed full, especially during the Reilly era.

Drinking firewater again, huh?

He accuses others of making idiotic comments then posts absolute garbage like "Hayden is ten times the coach as the other guy based on multiple levels."

The only issue is that he hates Ferentz the coach and Ferentz the person so much that he can't see straight and post objectively. I could also throw in that Kirk is more pleasant to the media than Hayden was, but I'll leave it alone because that drifts toward subjectivity. I can prove enough facts to support my claim that Kirk is almost the equal of Hayden.
