Michigan named Big Ten football favorite

IL will surprise but the west is not weak so they will be at or near the bottom. Nebby likely isnt very many key injuries from the bottom. This is the kind of Year and schedule where Iowa could go either extreme .

Michigan and Nebraska win so many off season division titles. Just because urban left, doesn’t mean Ohio state left the east. Urban didn’t take all the players, the playbook and all the assistants with him. Schiano is gone too, and that always helps.

It's crazy that a school can get so much benefit of doubt for something they did 20 years ago with a HoF coach that is long gone. I'd say 20 years is long enough to prove they aren't that team anymore.

I don't like Urban on a personal level, I wouldn't want to be friends with the guy. But as a coach and recruiter he was relentless, lethal, do whatever it takes to win kind of guy and the new guy just isn't the same at all. There really aren't so many guys who can pull off what he or Saban do when so many others really are trying to do the same thing.

Nebraska has a favorable schedule. Certainly more favorable than the last handful of years.

Their defense can't be any weaker physically or funamentally than the last several seasons.
And it looks like Frost has found a way to get them to play hard every game.

Barring an injury to Martinez, they'll be in the West hunt. And it pains me to say that.

They have been accurate two out of the last eight. If it comes down to Iowa and Nebby in the West, my money is on Iowa. That is especially true if it comes down to head to head competition.

I haven’t seen the schedule to see if we play them or not but I’m picking Iowa is we do. I also have to say given the last ten years results, that Nebby isn’t my concern. It’s Wisconsin I am concerned about.
With all due respect sir, you don't know that we play Nebraska this year? Have you been under a rock? Is this your first time on these boards? You are a Hawk fan right?

Before the oh-so-wise media crown Harbaugh their new King, he's gotta beat Ohio St, and until he does tOSU should again be the fav in the East.
Same thing with Iowa and Wisky - until we get the win, they are the favorite IMO. (To be the man you've gotta beat the man)

PS - It's only late July and I'm ALREADY sick of hearing about Nebby's so-called resurgence.
Give me a flippin' break! They have to prove themselves on the field first and from what I can see, they're on track to be just another Big12-wannabe with 35-40 pts a game, NO DEFENSE and 7-5 tops.

GO HAWKS!

I’ve been saying this. Their schedule is very easy. Nebraska has a better chance of winning the West than Iowa does in my opinion. We will be lucky if we only lose 4 games this year.

I already explained that once. Why would they not pick who they think the winner will be between who they think the top two contenders will be. I found that extremely odd and was just wondering why they wouldn’t do that unless for some reason they didn’t play.

They didn’t predict every game.

They predicted order of finish in each division and then the conference champion from each division winner.

So one writer chose Nebraska (W) and Ohio State (E) and Nebraska to win B10. That guy would be Steven M Simple of course

Another writer chose Wisconsin (W) and Michigan (E) with Michigan to win B10.

Given recent history Wisconsin makes a lot more sense than picking Nebraska.
