If you aint cheatin' you aint tryin'
What's the remedy if it is true. And its true.
I suspect this will press the league to move to NFL style speakers in the helmets to send in plays to the QB
The pictures won't go away, because those are mostly audibles to the entire offense. The no huddle spread teams line up, fake snap, then the entire team looks to the sideline for the audible or not. So, that shit won't go away because the speaker is just in the QBs helmet and goes dark at like 15 seconds on the play clock.I'm all for this. I'm not a fan of the three people on the sidelines holding up pictures to send in the plays. Worse when they try to use those shrouds and stuff. Zero explanation why, but it irrationally rubs me the wrong way.

It would help schools who huddle for sure.
Didn't they catch Belichec doing this for the Pats? If I remember the story, he was using a fixed camera on the opponents sideline at prior games and then study the tape to steal the signs. There is some level of sign stealing that is allowed, but it needs to be human visual only. You can't use cameras/recordings. That is a big no no. I don't know if scouts can write down signs as they see them in prior games. I am guessing that is banned too.
Either way, the rules are pretty clear on this and if Harbaugh was doing it, he would be intentionally cheating. Given his previous transactions, he may be heading back to the pros involuntarily soon.
