Michigan at Iowa 11am kick and on ESPN

So you're saying that Iowa has a 700,000 person long waiting list for season tickets, 10 people for every fan actually in the stands? Do you realize that there are only about 15,000 or so people that account for all of the tickets bought for Iowa football games?

So you are saying that every fan is going to give up their seat at once? They are just gonna drop their seats all together?

We were talking about YOU dropping your ticket. And none of us would care.

And YOU'RE the one calling people stupid? He was obviously exaggerating. But there are PLENTY of people who would take your seat in a heartbeat. Are there 10 for every ticket? No, probably not. But there's more than enough, especially since most people don't toss away their tickets over something as stupid as "there's too many 11 a.m. kicks". It's Hawkeye football, love it or leave it.

There wouldnt be fewer fans if you gave them up .There are probably 10 people who would want that ticket. There would, however, be one fewer fair weather fan.

What im saying is if you give up your ticket there will be plenty of others who would buy it. So if you give up your Iowa tickets are you gonna give up your Iowa State tickets too? Nah you would hate to give those up right troll.

I think 11:00 games are better for the hawks . More consistent.... And u know KF loves consistency.

Does the rule still exist where there are no B1G night games after October? Aren't B1G games restricted to 11 or 2:30 in November anyways? Idk if this has been changed or not with the new conference format.

What the hell is going on in corydon on friday nights tm?

I cover Wayne's football team as part of a class project, so I went to almost all of the games (I missed the first two because the project wasn't assigned until Week 3). Bled my wallet dry, but it was a lot of fun, even though the team went 0-9. The first couple I went to, I followed that up by going to ISU or just staying home (I skipped ULM and watched on TV). But since then, I've driven back either Friday night or Saturday morning (Northwestern).

There is no formal rule against November night games, but the conference as a whole has basically agreed to not have them. I guess the 2006 UM-OSU #1 vs. #2 game was strongly considered moving to a night game.

November night games are possible in the Big Ten, according to league and TV sources.

They're just not very likely right now.

Last year at the spring meetings, I posted about night games and what I considered to be a league policy prohibiting them after the calendar flips to November. This came on the heels of the announcement that the Ohio State-Penn State game wouldn't be played in prime time, even though it featured the league's two preseason favorites at Beaver Stadium, a fantastic setting for night football.

Turns out, the Big Ten doesn't have a hard-line policy prohibiting November night games.

A contractual provision exists between the Big Ten and its TV partners regarding prime-time games played after Nov. 1. Unless all parties are on board and sign off early in the process -- the prime-time schedule is usually finalized between early March and mid April -- a November night game likely won't happen.

11 am means less wait time in the cold for me. I'll take it as the weather gets worse. But on days like today, a 2:30 would be nice.

You do nothing to increase that number, that's for sure. But you do increase the number of whining, insulting, arrogant know it all posters! You keep threatening to not buy tickets for various reasons and people are telling you to go ahead because you won't be missed. Obviously, a lot of people feel the same way about you based on this thread. On top of it, you use the name of a great Hawk as you spew your negativity. Maybe you're a great person in "real life" though.

Every single home game for NW and Minnesota has been a 230 kick or later. How in the hell can Iowa go all year with every home kickoff at 11am??

It's just the year that it is. Last year, ISU was 2:30, as was Michigan, Wisconsin, MSU, OSU and Minnesota. Penn State was a night game.

I was in from Texas so 11 was good. Gave me an opportunity to watch Iowa Volleyball match Saturday night. Iowa volleyball has a long way to go thats for sure.

Hoping for MSU to be 11 also. Then I will be able to watch it, drive on up to Cedar Falls for the UNI game(niece in marching band there)

I wonder if mega-high preseason accolades had a lot to do with it.

Still, this to me has been one of the quietest Iowa football years on the national scene in recent memory. The earliest we could get some hype, I think, is after beating an 8-1 MSU team.

Banal schedules and early season flops will do that to you.

Iowa had its shot this year with a 2:30 ABC game, but played like a giant vagina.

So...I'm eating my popcorn and discussing this statement with Mr. Freak. What the hell does this mean? Isn't it only a giant vagina if a mini penis is involved? They played like they didn't know they were in? Maybe google can help me.....or wikipedia.
