I'm tired of hearing about this dog fighting thing every time his name comes up. Yes, I understand that it was a horrible thing that he did, and he's accountable for his actions, but he's paid his debt to society. Now just let him play football and realize that he's trying to turn his life around instead of dwelling over something that (probably) didn't affect you personally.

I'm tired of hearing people say we should give this guy another chance. He's a scumbag piece of garbage who is less than human. To do what he did to dogs isn't just something he did. It is an insight into who he is. A sick, pathetic, soul-less person. I hope he fails in everything he does and suffers greatly the way those dogs did.

was going to say the same thing...he is a big story right now for the eagles and im glad i drafted him in my fantasy league

You drafted him? I picked him up after week 1, I think that may pay off for me now. Started him last week.

Side note: What he did was terrible and he deserves having dog fighting mentioned everytime his name comes up.

I feel the same way about Michael Vick that I do about Martha Stewart; and that's they each paid their debt for the crimes they committed. Time to back off and let them reenter society and try to lead their lives within society's rules. I don't condone what they did and I don't particularly like either one of them but they need to be allowed to move on.

It's going to be brought up and replayed because he is in the spotlight and if there's nothing that ESPN loves more than creating some drama in the sports world.

Besides, why do you pay attention to the Eagles anyway?

Let's give this some perspective. Donte Stallworth killed a guy. Leonard Little killed a woman in a DUI and then had another one a few years later. In all likelihood, Ray Lewis killed a guy. Who knows how many women Ben Roethlisberger has raped?

Michael Vick did a terrible thing, but the point of going to prison is to do what? Repay your debt to society. If you're going to be ostracized and castigated by society for the rest of your life after you get out, you may as well just stay in prison for life.

Well, I don't like the attention that they give to it, but I was kinda leaning toward like my friends, extended family, etc who can't watch an Eagles game without talking about how they want Vick to get into a car crash
 
I hate the guy. The dogfighting, and plus I drafted Kolb as my fantasy QB. You know how the rest goes... SO now I have Kolb, Vince Young and Josh Freeman...

On a side note, I just got offered a trade. I can acquire Kyle Orton, Matt Forte and Chris Cooley for the low low price of Pierre Thomas and Dallas Clark... Would you do it?

He's paid his debt, and he is trying to move forward with his life and live a decent life. It's not our place to condemn him.

Or not even gone to prison in the first place. Put THAT in perspective, people.
 
Americans are goofy about dogs, thats why there was such a big deal made out of it.

I have dogs and care about them a lot, so I get it. But there are some people who treat dogs like their human beings, which they aren't.

Thats why you see people who think Vick murdered someone.

He's absolutely NOT paid his debt. Big f'n deal if he went to jail; he should've been there longer. The guy is sociopath. At the very least he should have never been allowed back in the league.
 
I must have missed the part where it says when someone "has paid their debt to society" you're supposed to like him.

Let him play, fine. Whatever. He's still a dirtbag who I'll always hate and hope fails.

I think it's more about the fact that he tortured dogs rather than just killed them. It'd be one thing if he would have shot some random dog that crossed his yard. But everytime I think about Vick, I think about this sick SOB getting his jollies off inflicting torture on some defenseless creature.

It makes me sick and angry.
