If you don't want to be punished don't protect cheaters. I feel a bit for the players, but anyone remotely connected to college football for the last four years has known there was an investigation and should have thought about that before trying to get their slice of the pie. There were plenty of interviews I saw with recruits via all-american games where they talked about the investigation, yet the players committed there.
