McCall confirms departure

Sure hope Coker does make it back, Canzeri has speed but I missed watching our bruiser in the Insight Bowl.

Welp you only need one running back anyhow. My guess is Coker will be back so thats that.

since it was a institution suspension, the fact Coker is able to register for classes would mean he is back
this means Iowa can make a solid push for Lynch or Reid to go with a possible Garmon committ

With the excellent depth that Iowa has at the running back position I can see why Hawk fans could care less that he transferred. I actually thought McCall had the potential to be a good running back for the Hawks.

I don't know how anyone who knows hawkeye football could not be worried about a running back leaving

I did too, but it's pretty obvious that he wasn't in sync with the program for whatever reason. I'd rather he be gone now than count on him for the future and have him suspended again. Good luck to him-- we have other guys who want to be here.

Weird, the coaching staff had already seen his potential and made him the #2 back in the first game.

Too bad he couldnt see that. He may have felt jerked around but man he was already #2. He came in to Purdue as #2 after being injured.

I guess you have to wonder what went on, what was said, etc.

I would think any true freshman who is #2 in Iowa's offense is pretty well thought of by the staff.

Any thoughts as to why he had enough to leave the program and school???
