I just like the idea of moving Indiana up a day as a small penalty for causing this mess. Also, are we sure this game won't be on BTN?
Not sure if this was mentioned, but the Purdue game is listed as March 1/2 on the Bball poster. There must be some flexibility there.
Maybe the Hawks should just forfeit themselves and make a statement.
Telling IU basically go to heck. I know this sounds terrible, but all this is ridiculous.
SIAP. From article:
“This whole thing will probably be settled by about (Thursday) afternoon,†McCaffery said. “We’re working towards a solution that’s amenable to everybody.
“We’ll probably play them sometime next week.â€
It’s assumed the game will take place Feb. 27, the only real workable date between the schools but nothing is official.
No matter what they do it's a screw job by Indiana and the big 10 not stepping in and having the game the next day in Indianapolis.

Are you 12 years old?
The stupid nicknames you have for teams coupled with the rational displayed above makes me think you maybe not be a teenager yet.
If 3 games in 5 days is the best deal they were being offered, I would tell them NO deal, and make the Commissioner's office make the call. If that's what they end up deciding, then it's on the Big Ten.
As long as they move the Iowa games against Purdue back to Sunday March 2nd this is the best possible deal Iowa was going to get. Go out and win 4 games in a little over a week and make a statement. The games will be there to be won and this team will go out and take them.
^^This^^
Want to make a splash? Want to get national exposure right before the selection committee starts their work? Want to vault into the top ten?
Here is our chance.
Unfair...oh, probably. Doable? Very. Big upside? Absolutely.
Flip side is if we get flat worn out and drop a game we shouldn't, its not good news.
This all should have been decided by now. We aren't going to hear anything until tomorrow guys.
