May's dunk

Have to admit I was one calling for less playing time for him coming into the season. I was wrong, and am glad I was. He's been great down the stretch. Much like (minus taking over games) Gatens towards the end of last year.

Eric May...or a metaphor there of...moving forward... is exactly what this team needs. If IOWA makes an unexpected run into the tourney... it will be Eric May that is the difference. I really wish he had a year of eligibility left.

What are the odds the NCAA will grant him another year of eligibility? Kind of like a medical redshirt... But only it's a Lickliter redshirt.

#ohsnapNohedidnt!!

Funny how last year the opinions on May were so different. I tried telling everyone he was playing through injuries.

He will be missed, hopefully the team can send him out properly with a trip to the NCAA tournament.

My overall opinion of May really hasn't changed. He's not really a scorer, but is a terrific defender and tremendous athlete. He definitely does things that make a difference.

I'd love to see him get a chance to play in the NCAA Tournament. It would be a shame if every player that ever played for Lick ends up never having that opportunity.

I too thought his playing time would dwindle, and am also glad to be wrong. May is playing like a senior - very solid and doesn't make mistakes.

thats just like your opinion man.

Positively priceless. Good to see Eric get the acclaim he deserves this year overcoming the criticism he endured for two years, due to an extreme change of coaching style and injuries. He started coming back last season when Fran would put him in the second half when things got tough. He would settle things down and help bring the ball upcourt, while playing tight D. This season he has become the heart and soul of the team, playing a leadership role. In my opinion finally returning to the promise of his freshman year, He has been essential several games this season......

:D
