In choosing TCU he was probably never actually interested in Iowa. Basically two polar opposite offenses.
I have no clue what TCUs depth chart looks like but I assume he's got a clearer path to PT than he would have at Iowa, Nebby or OSU. TCU he'll be allowed to chuck it around all over and have fun putting up stats anyway regardless of how soon he ends up playing. It's a tad bitter sweet in that we are losing out on an instate kid that's really highly thought of yet it's partially because our QB situation is in pretty darn good shape for the foreseeable future. And if we aren't getting him at least ISU, Nebby MN, and any other BIG rival of ours isn't either.

@Joshbrown self-banned himself. You shouldn't have to worry about it.Can't wait for those Nic Shimonek/Derrick Willies type weekly updates.
That's right. He got into a pissing match with Rob about two months ago and we haven't seen him since!@Joshbrown self-banned himself. You shouldn't have to worry about it.

I understood. Hence the phrase "self-banned" by Fryowa. For the record, he was not banned by me.
Maybe Rob can create a new board - Former Hawkeyes Kicking Ass Someplace Else. Maybe Duggan doesn't quite fit the definition, but it would still work. Can't wait for those Nic Shimonek/Derrick Willies type weekly updates.
TCU has finished in the Top 10 of the final AP rankings in six of the last 10 seasons.
Do they have better facilities than we do? Do they have a better fan base than we do? Is their coach paid more than our coach? Why is this acceptable Iowa fans?
Talent pool rationale. Surely that won't spark any debate on this board.Their coach, Garry Patterson, makes $4.75M annually. Not quite what KF pulls down but the difference is nominal in the coaching salary landscape.
I can't speak to their fan support. It's a small school. Upgrades to their facilities are coming LINK.
One thing I am sure of, their recruiting ground is much more fertile. Dallas does tend to produce more high level prospects than Des Moines.
